I can make a functional drone from scratch with the right material. There are recipes for that on the internet openly. As a chemical engineer it is a piece of cake to make a small bomb and attach it to a suicide drone that will explode once it hits the target.

There were not any civilians on the Sana'a airport as it has not been active since early 2015. Nobody flies to Sana'a. The Houthi terrorist cult has hijacked that airport and use it for military purposes alongside traitors within the Yemeni army.
