Rubbish. U can't just compare a sub par league like Psl with IPL. IPL is the gold standard of cricket leagues which illuminated the way for others t20 leagues to follow.

The quality of a cricket league is judged by the no of top class international players play in that particular league. Pakistanis may get happy with a those closely contested low scoring matches, but to the rest of the world PSL is just another mediocre t20 league like BPL, CPL. When a mediocre team plays against another mediocre team, matches r usually well contested. But these closely contested matches can not be taken as a measurement to judge the quality of cricket league.

In terms of production quality and the pool of players IPL is light years ahead of every other cricket league in the world. Big bash is a distant second while leagues like Psl, bpl or cpl r mediocre at best and can only dream of going anywhere close to the stature of IPL.

These days players don't wanna play in IPL just for money. They take pride in playing IPL.

Just take Joe Root as an example. One of the brightest stars in world cricket right now, who didn't even hesitate to take break from international cricket just to get a chance to play alongside superstars like Kohli, Smith or ABD in IPL.

Sadly even a player of his caliber remained UNSOLD. Just imagine what would've happened if he had made himself available for Psl. Lol.

I actually think the best league is probably the Big Bash in Australia in terms of innovation. IPL is a close second - but I don't really care much whether Bombay wins or Chennai does or Calcutta does. I might hit a bar and go enjoy the theatrics - but that's about it. It is entertainment - sure.

The other countries have smaller leagues and this includes Pakistan. I am sure even the Pakistani team owners are not doing this out of charity - everyone wants to make money. Pakistan has always had natural talent and if PSL helps them nurture this talent, it is good for the game. Pakistan still has very good bowlers. But I haven't seen a decent technically good Pakistani batsman in a while. And PSL or IPL or no T20 league is going to produce one. Probably India's technically best batsman right now is Pujara and he went unsold in IPL. Some guy who can hit horizontal bat shots by bench pressing 200 in the gym is good for IPL but will not be able to play Anderson or Starc on swinging wickets.

Enjoy the T20 leagues - but don't count on them to produce talent or even show case real talent.

92-96-99-2003 all happened before IPL .Situation is not much diff post IPL : 2011-15.
Even in T 20 : twice in 2007- 2012-2016 !

Do u even know who was the highest run scorer in the recently finished IND-SA test series or just blabbering just for the sake of it?

Also remember the fact that heavily tailored pitches were dished out to India so that cheat saffers can somehow salvage a series Victory.

Even on those tailored pitches kohli showed the whole world what he's truly capable of.
