3. ISI is not CIA, RAW or MI6.
but Sir, don't you think that it has fairly become easier to spot an officer / operator on duty these days especially on airports, one with bit of common sense can easily spot them
zarvan, as we say in our urdu...Yeh har jaga AK-2 ki ungli karna zaroori hai?Sir good explanation by the what's your opinion in AK-12 ?
Would you agree with me that there is no organization (major one) which is at parallel to ISI in terms of the diversity in it's operations?
I am not saying ISI is the best or anything, just noting that in other nations, it's mostly different agencies for different jobs, but in Pakistan it's the ISI which is sort of at the forefront of everything.
Britain has MI5, MI6 and GVHQ, US has CIA, NSA and you could include FBI perhaps internally...
Overall about the Gun and its features and How good it is when compared to other Guns of same category ?
a completely wrong observation, ISI is independent of Directorate of Military Intelligence , not its Branch or extension or wing.....
as said above its not Armed Force but same as other Services, operates under the umbrella of MoD....... tasked with External intelligence.....DMI is completely different....
BTW these days all organizations from Nescom to Suparco to AWC have established their own Intelligence Wings independent of ISI or MI, and Field staff is mostly civilians
FBI is for internal like we have CIA and FIA etc..... CIA is core... like ISI
No Sir but kia karay my craze for weapons specially used or may be used by Pakistani Armed Forces has turned me a little crazy so can do nothing about itzarvan, as we say in our urdu...Yeh har jaga AK-2 ki ungli karna zaroori hai?
nope, I am not talking about those folks, these guys are completely covert, no walkie talkie, pistol or white shalwar kameez...i rather not say further......a person with walky tookie.. bacha b kahdeta hey ISI walay hain hahahha here in Pakistan
Budget is the issue otherwise IB and FIA needs a overhaul and IB should be handed over terrorism and FIA should deal with corruption and fraud and smuggling of all kindsISI very well manages the internal affairs too. FIA is weak, IB is a budding solution to local intelligence gathering though.

if its independent why Military appoint DG Ranger to DG ISI ? (DG ranger role is under army). Why military officers working in ISI if its completely independent ?
@Icarus
I would say that's true, the role and responsibilities of the ISI cover such an enormous gamut of national security that it indeed has no parallel. Its no surprise that the ISI is reputed to be the largest intelligence service by manpower.
A lot of things 'should' happen but that doesn't always become the case.
