What's new

Obama's decision to visit India, not Pakistan, in the interest of all three countries: US!

Glad your coming to your senses somewhat, but i was stumped by "India is keen on maintain a facade of friendship with China to stop any really serious Sino-Pak deal", do not even tell me you meant that? You didn't just say that?!.. India can do nothing to hinder the Sino-Pak relationship, with special mention to the military/economic deals. (Read up the military stuff and the history). Recently the Chinese signed a $45bn (approx) deal with Pakistan (economic corridor). Links below, China does not care about india's concerns. The deal went ahead. So you can carry on being delusional sir.

China commits $45.6 billion for economic corridor with Pakistan

India expresses concern over China-Pak Economic Corridor

are you asking about India China deals? no, the two can make friends for little things, nothing serious by way of trade, just to maintain friendship.

China is keen on that to prevent Indo-Japan becoming too tight (example, the moment Japan announced bullet train for India, China within a week offered it at 2/3 the price). India is keen on maintain a facade of friendship with China to stop any really serious Sino-Pak deal making...and perhaps to stop a veto for UNSC.

Nobody in India or China care about border issues other than for newspaper optics

Like we care..

Infact, it's good for Pakistan that USA is siding with India. USA friendship always bad for other country. So let USA go into Indian friendship from Pakistani one ..

US presidents have been visiting places like Iraq like that. Unannounced visit is part of that security arrangement. Hence the unannounced. The thing I won't like this is, it puts Pakistan in the same league as of Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan etc. I don't like that.

who cares

Agreed american honeymoon always end badly china iraq iran syria libya pakistan all have seen it so it is in indian turn

Honestly, you should care. And US's friendship isn't "bad" for other countries. You have to learn to work with the US and that's when you get the most out of it. Take an example of India, Turkey, Israel, Saudi, Japan, South Korea....ALL gained significant economic and military related advantages from the US.

The most recent example is obviously India. It is amazing that how since 1995, a bunch of Indians who would be considered lower level technical resources, initially came in and setup a national agenda, learned the US system and used it to their advantage and to their home country's advantage.
Now, you have majority of the footprint inside the US in Science, Technology, Medical, etc consisting of the Indian population. Now about 60% of the new business ideas inside the US, have some Indian involvement (if not direct partnership). That's speaks volumes. The US is the land of the opportunity if you learn the system, work hard and use it to your advantage. But in Pakistan's case, there is no national agenda. Its just all on off stuff. Nothing proactive, always reactive. In my opinion, the blame goes out to many factors, including the military, who never let a real tolerant and democratic system to develop, resulting in lack of proper nationalism.
