What's new

Now Musharraf batting for Imran Khan?

.
Where'd you hear that? I know Mushy is in Dubai 90% of the time.

Recent developments: On a recent trip to London, Imran Khan did the unthinkable. He restored ties with two of his greatest political foes – MQM chief Altaf Hussain and former president Pervez Musharraf – who he had been opposing bitterly for several years.

The Friday Times:Imran Khan’s new innings by Ali K Chishti

The above is from Friday Times.

I remembered having read it and I mistook the location.

. .
Can you be sure that no comments from IK will come out in response to those of Musharraf? Look brother, this is politics, one will have to compromise a bit to achieve what he/she wish.

whatever IK will do, do it openly... thats the difference between PTI and other status quo parties...

I have no objection in talking with any party or person.... but these people try to make a issue of it... so need to deal with them at their level....

your reference article needs to get his facts straight regarding the by elections to begin with...

moreover, when he met DG ISI Pasha, it was open to everyone...

back then when DG ISI Ehtashaf zameer in musharraf era met Imran khan, everyone knows what happened

a phone call was arranged to Altaf...and everyone knew of it...

Imran khan got nothing to hide... why making petty issues against him ???

Leader,

It really of no concern of mine if Musharraf meets the Devil himself or Imran Khan or Khaleda Zia.

Friday Times is not a rag.

I believe it is a very respected newspaper of Pakistan.

Therefore, when they report something, I would be surprised if they would be irresponsible.

This is what Wiki states:

The Friday Times is a Pakistani English-language independent newsweekly, based in Lahore, Pakistan. It was first published on 25 May, 1989.

TFT’s editorial policy is independent as demonstrated by the national and international standing of the newspaper. TFT’s founder-editor, Najam Sethi, and publisher Jugnu Mohsin, are recipients of international awards conferred by Amnesty International and the Committee to Protect Journalists. TFT is the most highly quoted Pakistani paper in the international press

. . . .
It was discussed in Hasb e Hall mukhbari as well ;)
u can rely on hasb-e-Haal as ur source,,, but IK himself has , on TV, denied any such meeting & said that he NEVER met Mushy-the-traitor after 2002... period.

& to the topic, I don't think IK would every join Mushy-the-traitor... He has said already that NO alliance with corrupt ppl,,, who could have damaged Paks more than Mushy-the-traitor & his imposed Ghadari-&-Co.

.
^^ and where exactly did he say I went to 90 ? and besides camera koe nahi tha mqm ke pas?? com'on what he said is we went to 90 to ask them for truce of non violence, that we are non violence party so we ask you to remain non violent against us.

yeah these husband and wife are one of the first critics of IK as puppet of agencies !! on the other hand reputation is exactly what one manipulates... this is how it goes... a bad reputed newspaper may publish the truth, but will hardly be believed....

Guys cut out the low quality posts... Serious discussions should not appear as jugat baazi on one another. Also keep comments about one another to yourself and discuss the event only.

TTT, it seems like the FT assertion is more a repetition of hearsay and the only discussion that went down was between IK and Altaf Hussain (AH). IK needed to do the Karachi Dharna and the last time IK did a powerful event in Karachi, MQM supporters slaughtered about 40 people in cold blood. Getting AH on board was a must.

There is no need for IK to run to Musharraf, it may be true the other way round and PTI supporters are being foolish by rejecting this thing straight off the bat. Its fine whoever is supporting, PTI's manifesto does not mention anywhere that it needs to go after Musharraf, nor does it have to give Musharraf any space for saying a few good word.

There will be no alliance between them unless APML wins some seats first and voluntarily decides to throw its weight behind PTI.

The formula being developed is to pull out non-feudals from each party: PPP - (Shah Mehmood, Shaheed, Black Sheep group), PML-N (non-Noora kushti group), PML-Q (non-Chaudharies) and then perhaps if MQM wins something (they as usual will side with whoever has the potential of making the government).

If there is an establishment backing I think they will definitely try to give PTI Punjab.
