Wait a minute,Shinkansen is obsolete ?..May be that's why China license produced them( along with Alstom,Siemens & Bombardier train sets) ? .Even your 'indigenous HSR train sets' are based on ToT from Alstom,Hitachi and many other foreign firms.You're so ungrateful
Nothing new they hardly give any credit to foreign manufacturers from Japanese to europeans who had set up and built HSR from mid 90's in china.

Nowadays, most trains that aren't steam locomotives have a max speed of over 200 km/h. American trains like the Amtrak Acela express have a top speed of 250 km/h. Doesn't mean they run anywhere near that speed. Similarly, Indian "semi-bullet" trains are normal trains with a fancy name. You can paint a turd but underneath it all, it's still a piece of crap. With Indian trains, they don't even get that coat of paint.

Are you so stupid ? The so called semi HSR is a project to upgrade existing track to 200 kmph,and run existing, capable loco hauled train sets as well as EMU/DMU types.

Our HSR is running faster than theirs, and how can it be an inferior copy of their products?

Today, the HSR is a synonym of the Chinese product, so Japan and the rest can just go crying about that.

They would already do to prevent the expansion mode of China's HSR, but unfortunately China is now controlling everything, and there is nothing they can do to stop us.

As per WTO agreement we cannot ban you just like that, but we are terrified that you guys have submitted your bid and might end up winning it since it will probably be the lowest, but for this project we don't want cheap, we want quality and you are incapable of delivering that.

However, it would be great if you guys can convince your government to withdraw the bid, let Japanese do it, they will be expensive, but quality comes for a price.

By the way, can Chinese high speed trains be equipped with 200 or so exterior roof hooks per carage before China bids for India contract ? because that is decisive.
I spoke to the engineers they say yes for indian market only. but it will cost extra like an option but Indians don't want to pay for it.

You are contradicting yourself.First you claimed most modern trains have speeds around 200kmph,and do not reach anywhere close to that figure in service-due to various factors.And now you are criticizing Indian Railways for removing those factors responsible for slowing trains down?
