That is commendable, but beta with due respect I can show you pictures of a school just outside your home town of SWAT that has no safe drinking water for pupils, no fans in the heat and forget uniform and text books, students need to walk between 5 and 7 miles to attend school.

I admire your aspiration to deliver education to the world but charity begins at home and since it was Ramadan I thought I'd ask you to please take just a few thousand dollars out of that 32 billion and spend it on fans water coolers and a pick and drop for those kids in Pakistan.

I think Malalaa has her heart in the right place and she has indeed suffered terribly at the hands of these barbarians; because of her courage and resilence she has my respect, admiration and best wishes. But I also feel, at times, that shes being used by people to simply score points against Pakistan through their talks, books, columns etc, without doing anything tangible to improve the lives of ordinary Pakistanis who've suffered absolute horrors from this scourge of terrorism, abominable cultural negativities that we subject our women to and the abhorent state of governance that we find our country in.

No the solution to our predicaments does not lie in idealistic speeches in far off lands....it must be organic, holistic and above all indigenous for it to work and have a lasting change in our society.

Out of experience from talking to various people, I do notice when someone SUDDENLY bounces to fame....It really hits them hard.....REALLY HARD!

Let alone a child! One who isnt guided properly shouldnt be anyway near media esp if they are not "street smart" coz that smartness can be used in stardom as well and this lady is far from street smart....She is all face and victimhood

It is an unfortunate truth that we Pakistanis haven't been able to convince many others from far off lands that Pakistanis are not an intolerant bunch of psychopaths as we are portrayed to be in the media and that terrorism, extremism and fanaticism of any kind in Pakistan and Pakistani society is an aberration and a scourge that we are suffering - It does not define us...it never has and it never will !

You don't go on dishing dirt at another's country to simply prove a point. I'm sure if @Emilly David were to ever visit Pakistan she'd know that the reality is far......far......far different than our perception in the rest of the world. I've personally known many foreigners who've visited Pakistan with preconceived notions of our country and our people only to be washed away by our hospitality, love and inclusiveness !
