KASUR: Colonel (R) Muhammad Hashim Dogar’s nomination papers for PP-177 were rejected by a returning officer (RO) because he had been retired for less than three years.

Dogar was due to contest the upcoming general elections on a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ticket but was rejected by the RO under Section 60(2)(a) of the Elections Act 2017 and Articles 63 (1xj) and 63 (1)(j) of the constitution.

The articles state that a candidate who was compulsorily retired from service of Pakistan was not qualified to contest the election unless a period of three years had elapsed since his compulsory retirement.

The retired colonel had also violated a section of the Elections Act 2017 pertaining to an affidavit and other documents.

What is wrong with PTI? Do they not know the laws on who to give party tickets? Couldnt it get a number of people to help these old men complete their affidavit properly?

It is true and it surfaced when Bilawal declared his home as 3 million:

PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar on Monday defended party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari against the objection. He clarified that the party chairman declared the correct value of assets as required by the tax authorities.

Khokhar, who also serves as chairman of the Senate Committee on Human Rights, told Hamid Mir that Section 116 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 stipulates that all taxpayers declare their assets at cost (the value at the time of purchase).

The PPP chairman inherited Bilawal House in 1990 as a gift from his mother, late Benazir Bhutto. Khokhar pointed out that the property was valued at Rs3 million at that time.

I am a full supporter of Army and I belong to a military family myself .. That above was supposed to be sarcastic ..I clearly said that "normal people who don't bother checking reality and just believe what they see on television will be then saying" ..
