No foreign conspiracy to oust Imran govt: NSC

T
Imran Khan is behaving just like Donald Trump. He lost the confidence of his coalition. End of story. An undersecretary of the USA State Department does not have the power to form or promote a conspiracy against Pakistan. If the USA mounted a real conspiracy it would have come from the CIA and Department of Defense. A second level State Department functionary expressing displeasure with the anti-Americanism of Imran Khan is not a conspiracy, it's simple diplomacy.
Then why foreign delegates were meeting with local MNAs and MPAs who has nothing to do or no role in even national level politics ? And the same politicians happen to be member joining opposition ?

Has this been established for a fact? Has the ambassador actually said that? Ive only started reading about it, seems like a win for establishment

Yes they were forced to accept the previous NSC which defacto means admission that letter is genuine, admission there was balant interference.

It's just media propaganda by quoting what the 'intelligence agencies' ( DG ISI was involved in all of this of course he won't find any conspiracy). So at the end its again where we started ' interference vs conspiracy'.

As I said, during the meeting ( meeting minutes/ letter) the threat was given to the some involved in establishment to not back track from commitment before the VONC was launched ( the very next day).

Yeh what if a worse COAS comes into power? Not sure COAS has done to deserve this foreign sponsored concerted attack on him. He let democracy take it's course and people are jumping up and down like their ar$e is on fire.

Well, of course there are many CIA staff among the USA embassy in Pakistan. Pakistan has been rife with "War on Terror" intrigue for decades. BUT, without willing and, even, forward leaning, Pakistanis in the military, politics and intelligence services of Pakistan, the USA is impotent. To blame the USA, and not Pakistani actors for the fate of Imran Kahan, is ridiculous. Pakistanis are responsible for their own sad state of politics, no one else.
Who is not blaming local actors ? IK is saying that local players are being used some willingly and others without knowledge ... Even if there is no foreign conspiracy it is a local conspiracy for sure ... An ex general adil had to flee to UK to avoid unlawful arrest for his support to IK. What more evidence do u need ?

Soldiers being mutilated.

Police being shot to bits.

Criminals in power.

Party members out on bail.

COAS no where to be seen.

Media censorship.

People need to wake up, stop being naive and realise Pakistan just took a big L

They are stuck in quick sand the more effort they make the deeper they sink.

In such scenario they need help from someone standing outside. But unfortunately they don't realise it. Imran Khan is standing outside offering help but they are adment not to get his help.

Such a sad state of affairs

National Security Committee meeting today led by Shehbaz Sharif accepted again that US asking for the removal of former PM Imran Khan is a "blatant interference" in Pakistan's internal matters & not a ‘conspiracy’
The Committee concluded that the communication amounted to blatant interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan by the country in question, which was unacceptable under any circumstances."

National Security Committee meeting.— PM House

National Security Committee meeting.— PM House
The National Security Committee (NSC) on Friday said that there was no foreign conspiracy to topple the Imran Khan-led government, according to a statement released after the body met.
"The NSC discussed the telegram received from the Pakistan embassy in Washington. Pakistan's former ambassador to the US briefed the committee on the context and content of his telegram," it stated.
The meeting of the NSC, which is the highest forum for coordination on security issues, was chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
It was attended by former Pakistan ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar and senior civil and military officers.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar were also in attendance.
According to the statement, the NSC examined the "contents of the communication" shared by the ambassador and "reaffirmed the decisions of the last NSC meeting".
"The NSC was again informed by the premier security agencies that they have found no evidence of any conspiracy," the statement said, adding that the meeting concluded that "there has been no foreign conspiracy".
The statement by the NSC comes as former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan has launched a campaign, claiming a "foreign conspiracy" to be behind his ouster.
This is the second time in as many months that the forum has held a meeting to review the contents of the "threat letter" which purportedly contains evidence of a foreign conspiracy to oust the former government.
It is interesting to note that the NSC on Friday reaffirmed the decisions of the last meeting that was chaired by ex-PM Imran.
In March, the NSC had decided to issue a "strong demarche" to a country, that it did not name, over the "threat letter". While the forum had stopped short of explicitly calling it a conspiracy, it had also not denied it and instead termed it "blatant interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan".

Cablegate

The NSC statement also comes a day after Imran, in a party rally in Lahore yesterday, called upon the entire nation to get ready for a nationwide movement to achieve “real” independence and democracy.
Ever since he was ousted by the opposition through a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly, Imran had dismissed the Shehbaz government calling it "imported". The former PM and his linked the purported threat with the no-trust move.
The 'threat letter' first emerged at a public rally on March 27. Imran said it carried details of the ambassador's meeting with Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Affairs Donald Lu in which the latter allegedly threatened Pakistan.
Majeed, in the cable, reportedly said Lu warned that Imran's continuation as the prime minister would have repercussions for bilateral relations. The US, Imran claimed, was annoyed with his "independent foreign policy" and visit to Moscow.

can anyone explain how the last NSC meeting which is accepted as correct, identified blatant interference and 24 PTi members changed their loyalty is not a conspiracy!

k
Corrupt telling nation that no conspiracy.. no one believes them, sititng NSC represents all criminals.. what a sad day for pakistan.

thanks for stating the obvious but good sense has left the building on all things related to Imran Khan.

The task was too easy to be completed hence given to second level of state department where the most stupid officer was chosen ...and infact he succeeded ....

why US doesn't apply this simple diplomacy on North Korea or on India?

so many roaming around with Patwari syndrome.:-)

All we have to do is take a deep look at the frequency and nature of meetings in the concerned months. It is clear as day.

Just compare how many meetings took place overall with the same month last year or any other regular month.

The timing of it all. When did America decide that they don't IK and started meeting with the opposition.

Wasn't meeting with people like Noor Alam Khan and Riaz for the first time?

These local sellouts ( PML, PPP, JI) were united and dictated.

Just go through their statements especially Shahbaz Sharif, Margam nawaz, Ranasanaullah. Their is no doubt left.

Shehbaz Sharif the most important one ' Kia zarorat thi America ko absolutely not kehnay ki'.
NS has been meeting with the Americans admitted by Nani and Ranasanaullah.
PPP trips to US and meetings with the same person who issued the threat is on record.

As I said the letter/meeting minutes message was conveyed to the people in establishment ( the only power that that if backtracked from commitment would jeopardise the whole operation) that VONC has to go through as planned in a threatening manner.
It was conveyed right before the day VONC was announced.

This is an NRO 2 for dollars and benefits.

Regarding monetary arrangements its no big deal for the local collaborators to arrange the funds still Americans met plmn atm's in farmhouses outside the city and even stayed there breaking diplomaric protocol and regulations.

There were plans for a complete hogwash but asad majeed stood his grounds.
In that case I feel proud to be an American that it took just 1 low time diplomat and the local embassy staff to essentially cripple the functioning of a nuclear weapons capable state with a massive conventional capability including intelligence along with the 5th largest population in the world(and 40% youth too).
Because it truly is embarrassing to be a Pakistani and realize that nothing can be done about it.

Points to the fact that Armymen are thickheaded, not very intelligent, devoid of any pragmatism and sage, farsight and vision, and that very intelligent people who cannot obey the orders of the seniors are not picked by the Pak Army.

So being that imbecile morons and thickheaded, Pak Army Generals should keep themselves away from the civilian matters, from the govt. working, from indulging in foreign affairs, in advicing the diplomats and ministers, who are much more educated and intelligent than these average mind, below average Generals.

But since they have the power(men and machines) and power corrupts, they started to believe that they can run the country, the business of running the country is not their business. The sooner they realise it, the better.

This ex PM IK effort to show them their actual worth, and cut them to acual size would have far reaching efforts, so this regime change is a blessing in disguise, got the reality check.
