What's new

No fighters for pakistan: Russia

since independence we have been so good slaves to USA that now no one trusts us anymore. we have fought for them and fully supported them in wars so how US biggest enemy will accept our loyalty now. our situation is funny . our previous god has left us and now we are looking for a new one.

.
1- S-400 SAMs
2- Joint Venture b/w HAL and Russian company for manufacture of Helos

These were done deal, which has nothing to do with Russia Pakistan relationship.
Whats next??Russia bagged Talwar and AC deals since 2003 due to Russia Pakistan relationship?? :disagree::disagree:

And even most optimist Pakistanis know that SU-35 is not coming as its neither feasible nor similar to the doctrine of PAF.

.
russia- pak relations will take decades to improve. few exercises don't mean significant improvement in relations. they are just the first step. pak should forget su 35 and F-16s off course. russia will only supply us engines, choppers etc. for PAF the only viable option right now is J 10.

Lets see what happens...After India buying Rafael, Russians shouldn't hesitate to sell SU35 to Pakistan...

Come out of Indian blackmailing...
why russia should sell su 35 to pak. india had previously bought french air craft and it didnt bother russia. with the kind of deals india has with russia now india can easily pressurize russia not to sell any thing to pak. we have been dreaming about the su 35 for quite some time and now its time to be realistic and move on.

People might disagree with me but for pakistan for getting into russian camp, iran holds the key. Until they keep seeing u with saudis, their is a bit of distrust for u.

Ur army general screwed iran visit when shah visited pakistan over petty issue of so called RAW activity support of iran from its soil.

Mostly people are seeing only 1 part of buying weapons by india but not seeing 10 bn USD pump from Russia in indian refinery.

Roseneft is no joke in Russia . It is headed by close putin aides.and if they are pumping money in india then they are not in South Asia to annoy anyone.

RAW's serving lt col coming from iran and captured in pak is not a petty issue at all but a serious security matter. we all know that gwadar and CPEC is pain in a*s of many countries and iran is one of those so they will leave no stone unturned to make it a failure. now they have realized that both the china and pak military have made CPEC a reality despite all of their attempts now they are asking a role in it even the namak haram afghans are looking at it as kids look upon ice cream.

Who said you it is not feasible for PAF current requirements... Along with PAF it is also useful and fit on PN requirements.

That was not a blackmail .... Current Russian economy is not so well... and the time they are always attracted towards $$$$ ... MEans they are not sincere .... They are only looking for there interests .... India signed a 10.4 billion deal with Russia ... And in front our demand for two squadrons dont really mean for them..

If we estimate the price of of Su-35 as 48 million$ Then
1 million = 10 lacs
48 * 10,00,000 $
480,00,000 * 36

approximately = 1 Billion 7 hundred and 28 million $ VS 10.4 billion

Now what Russia will choose PAK-RUSSIA relations or PAK-INDIA relations.?

India has Close to $200 Billion of Projects Active/In Pipeline ( Discussions / Negotiations Stage )

International relations are not boy friend girl friend relations.

Countries relations depend on mutual strategic and financial interests, without any emotions involvement.
You got money, they would sell you. Your enemy got money, they will sell him. You both got money, you both are welcome.

Only some exception what I noticed is Pakistan-Turkey relation. Turks are more warmhearted towards Pakistanis than Pakistanis towards Turks.
rightly said , look at iran contraband affair , where usa was selling to both sides ,

PANAJI : The CEO of Russia's ROSTEC Corp, Sergey Chemezov, has said that Moscow has not signed any contracts and has no plans for signing any military-related deals with Pakistan.

"We are not delivering any modern aircraft and any military aircraft to Pakistan. We have made deliveries of helicopters, but those are specialised in transport and that contract has been completed," said Chemezov.

"No contracts or plans for any other military-related equipment to be delivered to Pakistan," he added.

Commenting on Russia- Pakistan joint military exercises, Chemezov said the military exercises held earlier in September this year were directly connected with modernising counter terror operations in Pakistan.

He said that the joint military exercises was important so that the nation could be prepared for fight from organisations like the ISIS, which is a global threat and is involved in spreading terrorism.

"ISIS is a global terrorist organisation, it is something that is the global danger and doesn't just involve terrorists in the Middle East but also in Russia, terrorism in India as well as Pakistan," he said.

"Therefore, joint military exercises are important but it must be noted that (they) were not in any way targeted at India or at any other conflict in the region," he added.

Chemezov said that Russia's relationship with India has always remained very strong and fruitful.

India and Russia on Saturday signed 16 agreements and three announcements in a number of fields including infrastructure, defence, ship building, science and technology and railways.

The agreements were signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Goa.

In a joint statement with Putin, Prime Minister Modi said the agreements on manufacturing of Kamov-226T helicopters, construction of frigates, and acquisition and building of other defence platforms are in synergy with India's technology and security priorities.

On a day India and Russia signed major defence deals worth $10 billion and other agreements, CEO of Russia’s ROSTEC Corp Sergey Chemezov says the seeming decline in India-Russia ties is a thing of the past. Mr. Chemezov, who runs Russia’s military and tech giant and is a close associate of President Putin, is often referred to as the second-most important Russian on defence issues. He spoke to Suhasini Haidar and other journalists in a select interaction in Goa.

India and Russia have signed many major agreements today, including for the S-400 Triumf anti-missile system. Could you tell us about the timeline and costs for these and the other agreements?

I can say that with the S-400, India will have the most modern system for air defence that exists at present.

By 2020, you should see the systems beginning to be delivered. As far as the costs are concerned, these will be finalised in the contract itself. The fifth generation fighter aircraft we propose will be a joint design manufactured jointly with an Indian company, made specifically for the needs of India. For the 200 Kamov 226T helicopters, we will partner with HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.), with HAL owning 50.5 per cent at the location of HALs choice.

We have a long-standing relationship with India, and now hope to improve our civilian deals as well, including on electronics, biochemistry and optic fibres.

Russia has been overtaken by the U.S. as the largest defence supplier, and there has been a sense that the relationship has flagged. Will the deals signed on Saturday revive ties?

Our relationship with India has always been strong and fruitful in both military production and civilian areas.

Inter- governmental relations always have cycles and some parts of the cycle may be more or less active than others. Sometimes, they can be influenced by foreign factors or by internal factors.

It may look like there has been a decline in Indo-Russian relations as a result. However, in recent times, the relationship has been strengthening and broadening, and India is a strong ally and partner for Russia.

How about the new ties with Pakistan, including delivery of helicopters, and the recent military exercises? Do you plan any military sales to Pakistan, given a Russian delegation attended the Karachi DefExpo for the first time?

Our relationship with Pakistan has existed in the past as well, and while you can see areas where it has broadened, but not significantly. The military exercises in September this year were directly connected with modernising counter terror operations in Pakistan. ISIS is a global danger and doesn’t just involve terrorists in the Middle East but also in India and Pakistan. Therefore joint military exercises are important, but it must be noted that were not in any way targeted at India or at any other conflict in the region.

And military sales, given reports Russia may consider selling Su-35s in the future?

We are not delivering any military aircraft to Pakistan. We have made deliveries of transport helicopters and that contract has been completed. No contracts or plans for any other military-related equipment to Pakistan exist for present.

How badly have sanctions in the past two years affected ROSTEC and the Russian economy? Have they forced Russia to look east rather than west?

It’s true…Sanctions have affected us and some of our production also declined at the time, as we were unprepared for the action by western countries.

As a result sourcing was hit. But we have done well to overcome all the difficulties mostly through domestic production of equipment, or to source them through Asia including from India. We have also found that we have been spurred to manufacture and offer more advanced equipment than we previously would have in normal progression. In both military and civil production, we want to be less dependent on external forces.

I think the sanctions have pushed us to do better and grow quicker, and in the long run have meant no threat in any meaningful way to ROSTEC and to the Russian economy

Indians are getting happy on a statement by a CEO of a company that doesn't even make the fighter jet that Pakistan is interested in......... seriously these people get happy so easily as long as anyone says anything against Pakistan.

Yesterday when somebody on this forum was saying about SU-35 I said that wait for BRICS SUMMIT ,The things will be clear then:

Now all Pakistani's including me are hoping about good relations with Russia Specially in millitary ties and the delivery of Flankers E to Pakistan but now what i have seen is that Russia used Pakistan just for her own interest like getting back the wrecked deals from India ...
Yesterday they modi and Putin have signed various deals important of them are :
1- S-400 SAMs
2- Joint Venture b/w HAL and Russian company for manufacture of Helos

Coming back to topic : Russians are no way Interested in giving armaments to Pakistan specially Sukhoi's.

Here is what a Russian official said:

1- How about the new ties with Pakistan, including delivery of helicopters, and the recent military exercises? Do you plan any military sales to Pakistan, given a Russian delegation attended the Karachi DefExpo for the first time?
