What's new

No fighters for pakistan: Russia

Saturate the area. Pakistan would need to invest in a low-cost lightweight SRBM design it can replenish quickly. Once you can ID where the S-400 systems are located, you blast those areas with lots of SRBMs and MRBMs. We're looking at knocking out the radar and missile launchers, i.e. the two most valuable aspects of the system. Pakistan basically needs to convince India that stationing the S-400 systems that close to the border is too risky.
and indians would be sitting idle and they dont have money to saturate your counter measures and set up more offensive squads of SEAD/DEAD-Deep-Forst strike fighter jets and artilerry and MRBLs to deviate your attentions and ever though what else india already has or already in deals with France , Israel and USA and Sweden even if you forget S400 from russia :azn:

thread is about which will be new fighter jet for PAF stop deviatingit by bringing things like SAMS or other issues lets talk about hard facts

PAF has lost quite some time and now with shrinking reserves and growing diffrences with west and USA PAF has to leave F16s sooner than later and go for chinese fighter completelly and there i guess JF17 and J10 till 2030 at least till your economy is in shape to sustain a expensive cutting edge 5th gen western platform

About su35, things will clear after putin visit. He is one man show.

Sir am a bit confused, google search on CAS ( Combat Air Support) yields only Close Air Support.

That's the term armchair generals, and chest thumping idiots use, who have no idea what actually happens in combat.

Tell me something, "Close Air Support" for what? Tea Parties? Obviously "Combat". People on the ground, have different terminology.

Now lets say I get two requests from teams in theater for Air support. One is under fire, and the other team is on the way back, out of harms way, and needs medical attention.

Now the 1st request would be classified as a "Combat Air Support", and the second one as "Medivac." And then there are further grades of those classification, which would result in how much hardware is allocated.

If you wear a uniform, you can use text book terminology, and look like a green newbie, no harm in that.

confirms my POV. until Putin visits Pakistan, nothing substantial will happen. he is a one-man show in Russia.

He may be a one man show- But he definitely is not a Magician or Aladdin Gene- What many Pakistanis are hoping here is a wish to come true-

If the Russians somehow get their supply lines in order and spares parts manufacturing picks up in India- then and only then perhaps Iran may buy Su30SM- other than that I don't see any future for flanker series other than a few orders like the Chinese one Just for some tech transfer or testing purposes-

1. If you have a problem with me "deviating" the thread with off-topic posts, then why don't you report me to a moderator? I'll make it easier for you: @Oscar @Horus. Guys, I'm deviating the thread, moderate me.

2, You're not going to find and destroy every single conventional SRBM or MRBM launch site in Pakistan, especially if Pakistan builds up a relatively large arsenal. Sure, Pakistan's ability to engage in saturation strikes will diminish with each volley, but each one of those volleys will carry a chance (however large or slight) of landing an S-400 asset. An asymmetrical strategy will also involve an uptick of SAM assets on Pakistan's part as well (so as to protect its land-based strike and ELINT/SIGINT assets).

I firmly believe THE options to buy SU35 or in deed THE J11 do exist for Pakistan.

THE ONLY issue holding this back is Pakistans ability to pay for such hardware.

Sort out your money issues there will be new figherers

Countermeasures for that is already in place.

Hi,

Here is my problem----when you don't have VISIBLE countermeasure---or air superiority aircraft---like in case of pakistan---and when you have a neighbor like india---it can use it to manipulate the situation like fake military base attacks---fake surgical strikes---fake attacks on civilians---.

And all these things lead to a stair step strangulation of pakistan---because the only thing that you have is a one time surprise at the time of war---.

So---my bottom line for Paf is---that unless you don't show it---you don't have it---. The history of Paf is full of more failures than of successes in the last 46 years---.

I know that they have trained hard against every ' other ' platform---but they don't have a ' guarantee '---they don't have the " Shining Sword "---as one of our colleagues had aptly put it awhile ago---who was that---LambaXL.

When my kids were younger---I had a foot ruler---that I had written YES DADDY on one side with a marker---. Whenever the kids misbehaved---I would tell them to bring me the Yes Daddy---. Things would smooth out very fast---I did not have to use it.

'Yes Daddy ' is what is missing---.

Very valid point.

Both India and Pakistan are facing a fighter shortage that will take years to bridge. In the meantime, both countries are investing heavily in multi-layered SAM systems. This is how I see India's deal with Russia for S-400s.
