No Airbase in Kashmir!

Why Pakistan Haven't Develop any Airbase in "Azad Kashmir" while india is having 5 Airbases in "IOK".

1: Awantipora AFB
2: Leh AFB
3: Siachen Glacier AFB
4: Srinagar AFB
5: Udhampur AFB

in case of war "INDIA" could easily attack Azad Kashmir from these Airbase's and can give Air cover to their land forces like they did in Kargil War. Pakistan lack this edge in Kargil we weren't able to give cover to our land forces or to counter IAF aircrafts. wouldn't it be difficult for us to protect Azad Kashmir?

What a lie.. there are two air strips in P0K.... one in Muzarafabad and another one in Rawalkote.....there is no flight happening form there... what else do you think is happening form those airports????

Kashmir is mere continuation of Northern Pakistan and thus is geographically adjacent. Airbase in Islamabad/Rawalpindi cover all of Kashmir whereas India is off centre and distant.

Skardu serves as a Forward Operating Base of PAF.
C-130's regularly use Gilgit airport.
There is a non-operational airport at Rawalakot.
PAF has established a Forward Operations Base in Muzaffarabad.

We aren't having any Fighter Squadron in Rawalpindi Airbase. it's No. 35 (Composite Air Transport) Wing. No Multi-role/Attack Wing.

The way you deploy them constitutes your defencice or aggressive posture...and pretty much tells your oponent what you intend to do when hostilities break out...

Deployment of iranian air assets in an aggressive posture against US aircraft carrier in 2006 pretty much prevented a war....

Any ways you dont deploy your strike fighters in range of enemy long range artillary....

It does not take long (minutes) for our fighters to breach iok airspace from pakistan...why would you deploy them right at the front??

bacha there were no land forces in Kargil and Pakistan could not have given cover to whatever forces we had there because Kargil is in India. It would have been an all out war in that case.

India has the Kashmir Valley. most of pakistani held kashmir is mountainous with few suitable locations for large air base
the paf has a lot of air strips for supporting forward operations
