That's not investment, that's hijacking of already running local businesses.
They will sell Pakistani poultry to Pakistanis in Dutch prices.
The story of "foreign investment" in Pakistan.
Instead of allowing companies which bring something new to Pakistan, the government keeps bringing in foreign companies who just buy a few existing local businesses and rebrand and sell products at higher prices.

You are right. Europeans like Dannon tried to do something similar in India with the diary industry and it failed because people want their local milk products; fresh yogurt for example was made at home from affordable local milks that were just processed at collaborative dairies.

If these European investors are just buying up the milk processing facilities then they will be hurting the milk supply. If they want to build new faculties and try to compete, then that is fair, and they will fail because their prices are too high. they would be best at trying the raise the productivity of each cow, hence producing milk at a cheaper price per unit of milk.

Pakistan should look at what has worked across the border in India under their collaborative project (seed selling, equipment selling and knowledge selling business) with Israel. If Pakistan can do something similar but with countries that at friends of Pakistan, like Jordan (which has experience with Israeli techniques), Turkey (a major agricultural nation), and China (40% of the works vegetables and fruits) then it can increase it productivity, lowering food prices domestically and increasing exports of surplus food stuffs.

Pakistan govt should never allow foreign investment in Agri and food, instead should provide support, training and tech to farmers in food processing and preservation.

Exactly, and we can thank "foreign investor" Nestle for that. The entire milk business is now monopolised by nestle who buy local milk, brand it as nestle and sell at above European prices to Pakistanis.

Not at all, local brand Olper have over taken Nestle in milk (as per Asad Umar claim). But without Nestle Olper may not even exist.

Olper is Engro foods .
Engro foods was bought by a Dutch company in 2016, so that too is a foreign brand and no more Pakistani.

This is already happening with water? Nestle bottled water?

They are interested in taking over the domestic market.

.
Could this potential FDI be tied to Pakistan looking to go for 6 large tonnage vessels for the Navy? An offset for a trade deal?

They could help modernize Pakistan’s agriculture industry. A good partner, with good trade ties, that could open avenues to sell our products in Europe.

This is free market. And it brings good with bad. You get industries that bring new products and services as well as industries that eat up existing businesses. We can't have one without the other.

Nestle has done a LOT of good for local supply chains. In fact they can be credited with CREATING supply chains for local farmers. Nestle along with other companies have done a lot of good in our countryside. Hopefully Dutch investment in poultry will introduce standardization and modernization in supply chains. Pakistan's problem is that we produce huge quantities of a lot of things but are unable to standardize them and suffer from wastage. Foreign companies bring processes and standards that bring the industry up to par with rest of the world.

Nothing would happen for people you.
You are great example of 'even if someone serve you in gold plate you would even find fault with it'.
Seriously we are at 5 percent of processed milk. If dutch invest and that is if, they would bring in technology and employ our labour.
Secondly this would be healthy competition and a huge window for locals to follow.
Thats how they world do things.
I dont know why it is problem in pakistan.
Maybe the same anti investor sentiment in kids like you destroying the country.
