Lol.. indeed US can't make 7nm chips. Those technique used in lab is not gonna help u make a real chips in the real world for commercialization. China lab also can make 3nm chips or even quantum chips but they are still far from commercialization. There is a big different from journal , lab work than real practical use.

Now that you mention it. When can we see the 7nm GPGPU that you guys said was coming? You announced the breakthrough last April and people are expecting Loongson 5000 series to be 7nm, instead it was released as 12nm in July last year.

I mean, when TMSC announced the release of 5nm, it took them 3 months to make 5nm A13 chips, and now they already released A15, the second generation 5nm chips.....

In 2021, China has exceeded 7nm, but SMIC has not announced that.

It was not until western countries discovered 7nm from China when they were mining.

Dude, do you even know what you are talking about? We were talking about Intel 7 for intel CPU, you were asking whether or not Intel buy any CPU chips from TMSC, to that I said Intel don't buy from TMSC. I never said Intel did not buy ANY CHIP from TMSC.

You said Intel do not have the capability to make 7nm chips, and then use that reference for the quote.

The article only said Intel is buying GPU from TSMC to make up the gap, and it said Intel is keeping the CPU production inhouse.

And no, Intel does not depend on TMSC for its CPU again, Intel 7 is a propriety.
