What's new

New Russia, a nation is born

.
I want them to take Mariupol and the shipyard and avenge the Odessa killings

fukk the nazis, full support for the Donbass people and NovoRossiya !

.
Tanks are easy to build..... :tsk::blah:

Some electronic components like ballistic computer, laser rangefinder have to be imported from Russia initially. But engine, hull should be no problem since they are 1920s technology.

All in good time.

If your tank hulls are based on 1920s tech, you should expect to get rolled the way Russia got rolled in 1941, with its 1920s tech. Please say you were joking, lest the world think you an idiot.

Newer isn't necessarily better. A soldier armed with a Mosin Nagant can easily drop a soldier armed with an M16, a gun that appeared more than half a century later

What Nova Russia should do is merge with his bigger brother

That is eventually going to Happen. Entire Russia Support's/Back's Putin for merging Crimea with Russia. They support merger of Eastern Ukraine with Russia.

In all but name....it already is. "New Russia" = old Russia...

You've obviously not followed China's development of new MBTs: engine technology is key (and not 1920s).

1920s tech is good. 600 hp diesel in KV-1 baby, better than M1A2 Abrams tank's petrol engine.
Kliment Voroshilov tank - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The engine of the KV1 dates from 1937. It produces between 450 and 600 HP depending on application. Applications range from BT-7M to T-34 to KV-2 to JS-10 to Su-85/100 and ISU-122/152.

Are you seriously suggesting this engine can compare to, say, the engines of T-90, M-1, Leo-2, LeClerc, Chally 2, Merkava, , and other modern battle machines, most of which produce (well over) 1000 hp?

Don't forget the gun, by the way. You can't be of the opinion that the KV's 76.2mm gun is on a par with a modern counterpart, say the British L30? The 152mm howitzer mounted on the KV-2 is not a valid counterargument.
Joined the discussion due to my predilection for tanks, lol.

Merkava started off with a 908 hp diesel. Yeah it's bigger so it produces more power. The technology has not changed, just like Mosin Nagan is superior to M16. Merkava - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bigger gun is not necessarily better. Smaller caliber produces higher velocity and better penetration. Tiger II's 88 mm was better than Pershing's 90 mm.

Yes, that's because the Israëli's didn't have anything else at their disposal but the engine used in the US M48/M-60 series of tanks they had acquired in the 1960s and 1970s from US and Germany (i.e. an engine design from the late 1940s also used to powered the M-46 and M-47 in petrol version before), which they had also retrofitted to their Centurions in the early 1970s. Clearly am availability and logistics related choice. They then used an uprated 1200hp version of that and when they needed still more power but couldn't squeeze more from the old engine they adopted the newest German engine MTU 883, in licenced version from General Dynamics and also offered as option on the M1.

lol? you think this new state has the means to design and produce a 3rd gen MBT?
self reliance?? really, they'll be getting their arms, food, and energy from Russia for a long long time.
this is good news really. more dead weight for Russia to take care of.

Hey, if a third gen tank and self-reliance are all that is needed to become a "new nation" than North Korea, yep that madhaus, should be one too. They don't rely too much on anyone else, but thank China for its support, and they have a third gen tank that is built domestically called Pokpung-ho.

If Donbas is a drag, then why is Ukraine sacrificing thousands of its young men in Donbas :disagree: Donbas has 90% of Ukraine's coal mines. Donbas has Ukraine's biggest ammo factory. Donbas has Ukraine's biggest technical university. Donbas is worth quintillions of US dollars.

Looks like T-64 Bulat. Didn't know about it. Thanks for sharing :enjoy: North Koreans cannot develop tanks like New Russians can. They don't have modern technology.
