What's new

New Railway engines from China stopped working after 1 month. PMLN EXPERICE AT ITS BEST

surely its not the product, if it works in china... it should work in pakistan...
we are using chinese product in some metro rails, right?
.. :haha:

Made in china and chinese maal are different thing. Apple is made in china, but the quality is controlled by Apple so it is not "Chinese Maal".. If Indian metro is using made in china product they must be going through our (Indian) Quality control...

where as the Chinese Engines (sold to Pakistan) are not quality controlled by Pakistan.

What happened to those Caterpillar Engines??? Pakistan ordered 50 but no sign of those engines yet...

New locomotive ‘refuses to chug’

LAHORE: Failure of a new locomotive resulted in around four-hour stoppage of Lahore-bound Shalimar Express near Daharki on Monday, causing hardships for the passengers.

A source in the Pakistan Railways headquarters, Lahore, said since no other locomotive of 2000 HP capacity was available in Karachi, the authorities dispatched two locomotives of 1500 HP capacity which reached Daharki after three hours and 50 minutes. The 'substitute' locomotives (Nos 4901 and 4914) took six extra hours to bring the train to Lahore.

A mechanical engineer of railways told Dawn that during initial operation, problems did surface.

"Any new locomotive introduced for the first time in broad gauge network of the Pakistan Railways, where heat and dust become very prominent in summer, do get some teething troubles that need adjustments.

There had been much more teething problems whenever new locomotives were introduced on the PR network; the General Motors (USA) and Hanshel (Germany) crankshaft was broken, for GE (USA) cylinder piston were burst and for Hitachi (Japan) locomotives bogies were bent out," recalled the engineer.

A railways spokesman in its headquarters in Lahore said the Chinese locomotive developed a minor electric fault on the fourth day of its induction into the Pakistan Railways fleet.

"The locomotives are under warranty and Chinese engineers will remove the electric fault," said the spokesman.

why do pakistanis buy chinese hardware when they know that they are unreliable.
Don't know about hardware but Chinese ppl r reliable to them for now. They must have paid for low quality Chinese engine, they should have paid for good quality Chinese engine...not a Chinese fault here.....stop blaming Chinese product:pissed:

Nope, neither the Indian Govt nor Indian Air Force stated the crash was down to Chinese parts. The ONLY people who speculated this were attention-hungry media outlets.

Ow ok i just read that so i posted Sorry :-):-)
No worries, the IAF has pretty much stated it was down to pilot error as the trailing C-130J (the ill-fated one) got too close to the one in front, got into the lead C-130J's slipstream and lost lift as a result, as the two planes were on a low-level drop exercise there was no altitude for the ill-fated Super Herc to recover and thus, sadly, the plane crashed.

However the IAF is still conducting its investigations and won't finish it for a few more months so no official confirmation of this will come out for some time.
