There is no doubt that due to increased population it is essential to have more provinces, but the way politics on provinces is being done is wrong.
the problem in Pakistan is that there is no local government system
the local government system ensures that the money and authority reaches the common people,
There is no doubt that through local government authority reaches common man, but what @
IND151 is interested in knowing is interest of AH. It is certainly not of empowering common man but his cronies.
for example shahbaz shareef only developed lahore in five years where as he totally ignored the other punjab districts sindhi waderas and daakon totally looted karachi and did nothing
Shahbaz Sharif did not develop lahore but screwed it like anything for last five years. What he has actually done is beautification and development of those roads where he and his family frequents. Metro Bus system is a total flop and is running in loss. This idiot, just in political differences with Pervez Ilahi scrapped a grand underground train project and instead started this Jangla bus, where many benefited through illicit money.
I think blaming only Sindhi Wadera and Dakoos for problems of Karachi will be wrong. MQM is very much part and parcel of what Karachi is today and has been a major contributor to it. It is evident through the change of status of their MNAs, MPAs, Nazim and councilors. Babar Ghouri used to run a video game shop next to La Rosh in Nazimabad, from where he has mustered up so much wealth that he drives BMW and Prados today. Waseem Akhtar used live in a busted up house behind Singapore Centre Tariq Road. Please visit and see the condition of this house today. There is a story attached to most of their leaders.
one man controls the fate of every common pakistani which is in corores
In MQM also Mr AH controls fate of 30 million people living in Karachi.
the 18th amendment was introduced to empower the small units called provinces where the authority was completely centralised so why not decentralise to the very district level, if it happened with the provinces?
Yes smaller units with decentralised power will be the best thing we can do to improve governance, However, objective of PML(N) to support 18th amendment was not to empower provinces but to ensure more than three terms for Mr NS. MQM and PPP was stupid enough to get trapped in their siri paya talk.
the sense of deprevation is increasing because of this
the indians come here and talk about how pakistanis have small towns instead of cities
They will do this as long as you will keep dividing yourself into Sindhi, Baloch, Muhair, etc.
its because of this very dictatorial policy that our cities cant grow
they are at the mercy of few wadera and jagirdaars
You forgot to mention bhai logs, amn committee ST, LeJ, etc
aren't you against the operation
Their demand met, eradicate all our opponents and give us Karachi as virgin land to operate.
I think there should be a referendum where the province needs to be created. If the people are against in that area, then whats the point. After partition India has made atleast 10 new states based on ethnic regions and the regions have prospered under their own control.
I really cant understand when members here are wrting that new province should be created but not on ethnic lines, then on what reasons. Many people are unhappy because they feel neglected due to the reason of their ethnicity. For example, seraikis have been demanding a separate province from Punjab. Now they do not consider themselves punjabis, they are seraikis and have complained no one listens to them. So after a referendum they can have it based on the results.
To do nothing is not a solution. Slowly, there should be more states but lets start with one and see the difference.
Raising provinces in the name of ethnicity will create more problems for Pakistan. There should be no referendum, no committee, no redefining the boundaries. Simply upgrade divisions to provinces. On this no body should have any objection as Divisions exists for decades now.
