That is what i have been saying for some time now. Keep him minister but rather than railways, expand it to transportation. Minister Logistics or Minister Transportation. Put PIA, Railway, Highways even may be ports under him. But PIA, Railway and Highways for sure.

PIA and Railways should be run as companies under Asad Umer’s Sovereign Wealth fund.

railways was at its peak in his tenure.

in musharaf tenure there were no latest comfortable trains like in west ,japan and china and trains were similar as today with old engines and uncomfortable trains so it is unfair to declare railway at peak

Transporatation minister is the way to.
He sould not be running trains but rather looking out for the infrastructure and saftey of all forms of transportions.

He is the guy who did most for the Railway. All that work was destroyed by Bilor and Saad Rafique have just managed to get Railways back on par with what it was under Sheikh Rasheed. Railways timings were perfect, new coaches were manufactured, black ticketing was eliminated, conditions of railway stations and services in train were improved. Bilor destroyed it all and now Saad Rafique managed to restore much of that again, still, getting only on same level at best.

when rich people travel in trains among poor like in west only then railway will become profitable.today even poor prefer to travel on buses instead of trains due to old types of uncomfortable trains.we need new person with extraordinary capabilities to make railway like european country.sheikh Rasheed has limited scope and vision and cannot take big decisions

He can use his experience for betterment of railway. I remembered during Musharaf era , it was comfortable to ride in train , and facilities were given right to passengers. Music, comfort, staff behaviour, refreshments etc Hope he can do well and more better
