Sweeeeeeet...
Yo TEJAs..., where you at, homie?!!
The issue isn’t payload by weight -The main limitation of a light-weight fighter like the JF-17, is it's lack of capability in a multi-mission role. I always speculated this was one of the main reason the PAF adopted the J-10. Think about it, the J-10 doesn't bring anything game changing over the Block 3, other than it's a completely different weight class. JF-17s cannot replaced Mirages, but the J-10 can.
Economy disaster of the actual goverment and internal political affairs ......
Best regards
What happened?Wow! Finally!!!
Thanks for sharing, i always thought JF17 B3 can carry same tonnage of ammo as mirages.. ill informed i guess
Mirage is also in light weight category. It was designed by Dassault aviation as lightweight interceptor. Now, It is only limited to strike missions in PAF as it has no capability left for any other role. Its air to air capability is negligible in modern warfare. With 2 extra fuel tanks its left with only 1 usable hard point to carry a SOW / ALCM. PL-15 plays a vital role in that lethalityJF-17 BLK III, J-10C & F-16s backed Erieyes & airborne jammers are a deadly combination.
No Air Force, let alone the incompetent Indian Air Force, will think of breaching Pakistani airspace unless they want to end up like Abhi-none-done
homie is impersonating a warplane.Sweeeeeeet...

No. 8 hard points. With dual racks you can carry two additional BVRs thoughHold one, are we saying, 9 hard points in total. 6 under the wings and 3 under the belly ?
Real question is will block3 carry pl15 and if not why?.JF-17s & Mirages can carry almost the same tonnage. But, only thing is that it appears the ground clearance of Mirages allow them to carry larger ALCM in its center-line. But there are already quite number of SOWs that JF carries. Further more, the newer weapons will be procured / designed for JF-17. So eventually these ancient machines will be replaced by both the JF-17s & J-10Cs.

J-10C in PAF is procured for Air Superiority and to reset the balance once Meteors and Rafales were added by IAF. Whole reason was to retain the first strike capability as described by PAF itself in the induction video. Sure it can carry and will carry Air to ground munitions, but J-10C even on its induction ceremony was deliberately shown with 4 x PL-15s and 2 x PL-10s. In air to air mode when against an opponent like Rafale, you have to count on your every parameter. Even the speed & altitude at which you are releasing your missiles to give them initial energy. Other than that the extra powerful avionics / extended radar coverage, IRST etc also factor in. In addition, perhaps PAF could have only relied on JF-17 block III for time being if we had like 40-50 of them already a year ago. But it is possible that we decided not to take risk as JF-17 III even initial batch production, testing & evaluation was going to take a long time.

Thats wt the French thought with their maginot lineJF-17 BLK III, J-10C & F-16s backed Erieyes & airborne jammers are a deadly combination.

Apparently PL-15s were acquired long before the delivery of J-10s commenced.Where wd PL-15 go, if any, at inner hardpoint? I think it is for J-10 only as B3 radar is not powerful to utilise its range fully besides integration.
