New Chinese stealth fighter heightens dilemma for Indian Navy

Mr Han Rafale is also expensive are going for it...We willl go for F 35 if needed and its better than your Plastic Can
Sir, please tone it down. The Memeber was stating facts and he is talking about the US, there is no need to get so agressive-let's keep the conversation flowing and friendly. We are all here to discuss not to attack. Chill.

F35 is too expensive to be affordable, not to mention 2500. Don't forget USA government is facIng a Fisical cliff and potential trust downgrade.

Very true, but the long-term for the US looks fine and these purchases will be spread out over decades so it should be affordable.

Good article, although I expect PLAN to operate carriers earlier than they expect, but I hope it is an eyeopener for IN!!!

The arrival of J31 will be a game changer for Indian forces and more than J20 was. First of all the copied F35 an F22 stealth design is a very good one, secondly it will come in the medium class and with the same engines (at least so far) as JF17, which makes it logical that PAF might be interested in the long run and at last that not alone J15 will be a problem, but J31 operated from PLAN carriers!

IN now is even more in disadvantage, because they are wasting time and money with the useless development and induction of less capable fighters at smaller carrier, while there is no current and fast plan to get bigger carriers and better fighters yet.

PLAN will aim on USN and the defence of their costal areas and seas in first place, but if needed they can be deployed to Indian Ocean as well. IN now has to come up with a strong and fast counterplan, which only can be a speeding up IAC2 developments and developing a 5th gen carrier fighter. So far IN (and I personally did as well) rejected the idea of F35Cs because of operational restrictions, but not things are different and at least a smaller order of F35, while an indigenous stealth fighter will be developed might be important.

Indians are just a primitive people from a third world country jealous of China.

Back to topic: J-31 makes no difference to the Indian Navy because PLAN destroyers, submarines, frigates and every other class of vessels already completely overwhelm and overpower India. They have no chance against PLAN whether or not we have J-31. J-31 is not intended to compete against India.

Indians can dream about competition with China when they learn how to manufacture bullets and feed their own people.

What can we do when the CCp is itself trolling the world .

To be fair you can't say the LCA program started until atleast 1993/4.

Dikhavon pe na jao, jara apni akal bhi lagao. Useless development and induction of a less capable fighter will give experience to IN, I hope you know how invaluable experience is based on which a more capable fighter can be developed. J 31 is not a threat as it is still a prototype and should take atleast a decade to be a true 5thgen.

Can anyone report this SOB, a False Flagger ??Check out his posts it gives a clue .:p

Fair enough. We'll keep pushing ahead nonetheless, even if we cannot build something to the level of the F-22 yet, we're moving forward and that's what counts.

Indeed, what I want to add is : In order to discourage others nations from developing the 5 gen fighter, U.S has defined 4S criterias: super-cruise, stealth, super-maneuvrability and Super electronics...they knew that no nation will be able to meet all these 4 "S" criteras especially when U.R.S.S is bankruped...For Chinese to meet these criterias in order to develop a new fighter then we will have to wait for another century but we didn't give a rat a$$ of these 4S criterias and move forward to develeop what make sense to us even without a proper engine...
