Only Speed cannot help in it.

Its a trade-off actually. That's why better to have both kind of missiles in your inventory.

The supersonic missiles are designed to beat ship's air defenses with sheer speed. But it tends to be detected far earlier.

The subsonic missiles are designed to remain undetected until its too late. Only CIWS/PDMS may respond at the last moments.

Detection is the key in interception. Sub-sonic missiles have better capabilities to remain undetected:
- Subsonic ones normally have lower RCS, smaller / lighter then the supersonic.
- Very low thermal signature
- The subsonic missiles fly at very low altitude / terrain hugging. They just fly above the wave tops. Something which you cannot achieve with super sonic missiles as of yet. They can fly low but not as much as compared to subsonic ones.

Low flying Russian Sub-Sonic missile getting intercepted in Ukraine

Its a anti ship mtcr compliant export version of RAAD-2. A little use of brain could have revealed that. Decades of Dev have gone into it.
no need to get personal, genius. is pakistan a party to mtcr? is raad 2 anti ship capable?

Same for Harba. We don’t want to antagonize the world specially given the history. Signatory or not.

1. No but all systems marketed for export are mtcred by Pakistan. E.g harba Ng.
2. RAAD2 is purely land attack missile. However Taimur since its beginning is marketed for anti ship role. With the newer model featuring a IIR seeker which I shared above.

Pakistan’s defense sector indeed reflects a focus on indigenization and advanced research, particularly in aerospace and strategic assets. The development of systems like the JF-17 Thunder, Al-Khalid tank, and a growing missile arsenal demonstrate their commitment to self-reliance and innovation. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF), in particular, has gained a reputation for operational readiness and strategic planning.

Deepening ties between Egypt and Pakistan in defense cooperation could be mutually beneficial. Both nations have strong military traditions and could exchange valuable expertise. Pakistan’s ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) is widely regarded as one of the most adept intelligence agencies globally, known for its complex operations and influence in regional geopolitics. Enhanced collaboration between Egypt's General Intelligence Service and Pakistan’s ISI could bolster counterterrorism, intelligence sharing, and regional security efforts.

Such partnerships not only strengthen bilateral ties but also reinforce the strategic balance in their respective regions. It would be fascinating to see if any joint projects or training initiatives emerge in the future!
