The only Pakistanis that still visit Pakistan are those who were born there, the average child of that Pakistani immigrant isn't going to visit Pakistan.

Why would he/she? They most probably have a US/European Passport and can travel anywhere in the world without a visa.

The majority of Pakistani expats are in the ME, in countries that do not offer citizenship. That is the Golden Goose, followed by the Golden Chickens in the UK, mainly in low paid jobs who are building houses and plazas "back home".

Secondly, there are literally a million other ways of DIRECTLY taxing the absconders and going after them instead of taxing such things such as internet, phone cards and travel facilities.

See, if you don't know the public accounts of the businesses/traders, how are you going to tax them? Either make audit mandatory or come up with such a powerful deterrent that people honestly report their earnings.

People coming from abroad would buy their tickets from abroad usually. You can have a system where NICOP registered people don't pay local taxes.

Basically, similar to EU VAT refund system. If you were in EU for a tourist/short interval and you did shopping, you can get full refund on that VAT you paid, at the airport.

I am not sure the way they implement this is fine or not, but i definitely support tax on Business/First class tickets. i mean, a common man doesn't travel in them so that shouldn't affect him. Introduce a Withholding Tax on the ticket bookings. If you provide your tax number and details at the booking or airport, you can get your tax back. Simple.

We need to force all these haramkhor and chor businessmen into paying.

What does Visa have to do with tax on your ticket?

Why buy a $1300-1500 ticket, gifts for family, and get disrespected by embassy officials when applying for a visa to come to Pakistan.

On top of that get cold stares from family on types of gifts you gave them.

When you can get a visa free entry to Europe, and buy a $1000 ticket?

This applies to the children of Pakistani Immigrants. Not many have strong connections to continue visiting.

Whatever is wrong in going by train/bus etc relative to flying. The same is wrong in flying economy relative to flying business.

It is typical of businesses to send their people about after a day of work you use the plane to save time to attend a meeting ....Business and remittance is running the country and these type of stupid unplanned greedy tax are gonna destroy the poor economy!

Bhai Jan! why are you dragging the lower or lower middle class, they are pretty happy with Trains and Buses. good tax but should be categorized higher amount for business, VIP class and less from economy class.
