New air chief marshal resolves to transform IAF into ‘aerospace force’

Very well webby, lets agree to disagree on this. However i would like you to talk with keysersoze even for that matter to clear up and research on all that China needs help with on 4th gen planes from Russia, what it cannot build.

Its too soon for India to initiate space military exploration except for espionage satellites.
It would cost Indian taxpayers billions of $$$ just for R & D.

What you guys think?

bhaijan what is space millitary exploration?

do you understand kicking out a ASAT in LEO, by homing into a SAT moving in pre-planned trajectory isnt eactly mil space exploration?

To date there is has been "no" true mil space exploration.

Space is permitted for civil and communication use.

Aerospace Command , initiates the formation of a IRNS grid of 9 satellties which is Indian Regional Navigation System, some NRS ; National reconissance Satellites, microwave Imaging Satellite like RISAT, other than normal panochromatic satellites, Nano satellites and navy's quest for another small satellite grid for their own and various other things.

There is no need for any specialized R&D costing $$ much in this for India.

IRNS will be the backbone, IRNS project is sanctioned already 2-3 years back.

I mean China has tested capability of taking down satellites. I believe the missile was launched from surface but whats next?
A permanent space military station, manned or unmanned?

ASAT capability has nothing to do with mil space exploration, it has more political significance than material is what I believe.

Space is not going to be militarized soon, but there will be research in that direction and India is already doing them.

Much research would be done in the arena of space based and augemented laser system to destroy ICBM's in their midflight.

there are many issues militarizing space as well, even if you want you cannot put some AMRAAM into satellites, in space you cannot steer your missile like you can do in atmosphere etc etc.

I'm not too much concerned on that, emphasis to colonize other planets will be first then target earth from there :D

thats all i can say

Lol, when we were in Bangalore, people thought he was from IIT Kharagpur in the way he talked, and gave technical specifications from the top of his head.

But most people could not properly understand what he was saying :D
