Basically this list shows among the surveyed nations that how many households per capita have poverty.

.
keep in mind , 20 years back india had about 4 times pakistan's poverty, in relative terms

i'd like to quote an article:

Last year the average Indian made about $3,500 annually. The average Pakistani, $2,000. Ten years ago the disparity was reversed. Ten years from now the average Indian will be twice as rich as the average Pakistani and this gap is only going to widen in the decades and years to come.
India is racing toward economic and social advancement. Its population is becoming richer, more literate, more tech-savvy. And why is this happening? Because China’s awesome economic growth scares the living daylights out of India and this ensures that Indians are fixated by their economic growth in turn. Our former rival has put on running shoes and barely has enough time to check its rear view mirror to look at us, so focused is it on the Chinese panda.

it says about the ratio, not that india had 4 times the poverty, now as the indian population has 8 times the population then india poor people are 8 times pakistan poor people, and indian poverty is increasing, google it and you will find it out

NICE JOKE PAKISTAN POPULATION IN 2012 IS 19.3 CARORE AND INDIA'S POPULATION IS 1.21 BILLION SO INDIA'S POPULATION IS 6.23x OF PAKISTAN POULATION AND NEVER FORGET PAKISTAN POPULATION GROWTH IS WAY HIGHER THAN INDIA.

This is shameful but what did we expect when we have two hot borders, a virulent form of militancy, the terrible WoT and hardly any FDI. A corrupt government and no investment in education or job creation. Load shedding and no water management so we are surprised we are poor...

obviously the below poverty line numbers increased, because india's population exploded from 350 million to 1.2billion.

what decreased was the %

Also keep in mind that pakistan's population is exploding really fast. so 8 times before have become 7 times now and then evantually become equal
