Sikhs don't want a separate state. Khalistan is just a word to prove your coolness, nothing else. People say it, they post the stickers, get tattoos, but when you ask them, they don't know what it is.

I am yet to see a person who wants Khalistan, and I am a sikh myself.

Only people who want it are Pakistani Sikhs, Canadian Sikhs, and UK sikhs.

i have one sikh friend who wants independent state, my brother has to sikh co workers who want independent state.

What matters is a shared Dharmic world-view.

Our Prime minister is Sikh. Our Planning Commission Head is Sikh. Sikhs are in key posts of Army. Apart from that Punjab a state and Sikhs are most prosperous and richest in the country. Things from Punjabi culture are widly accepted in other states like maharashtra,and even the south Indian stats. Now please enlighten us why a single sikh want to get separate Khalistan from India.Sikhs are one of the most patriotic people in this country.
