ISLAMABAD – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday announced reduction in power tariff by Rs3.11 per unit.

According to media reports, NEPRA announced to cut down power tariff for the month of November.

According to NEPRA officials, electricity consumers will gain a relief of Rs25 billion due to reduction in power prices.

This relief in power tariff reduction will not be applicable to K-electric consumers.

Tariff is decided by a formula which consider many factors like use of furnace oil plants, IPPs, line losses, all fuel prices etc. It is reviewed every month and +- is shifted to consumer in next month. It is a good thing that relief is imparted to consumers

They too are following a formula by which tariff is decided. AFAIK they are given high rates bcz many peeps in PPP have stakes in Abraj capital. So they were favored
