Also continuous anti Pakistan rants in major Indian movies are not liked by Pakistanis. ( Let alone the content, which is copy of Hollywood and hasn't improved over last 3 decades)


One must not forget that these surveys are done in cities, if you go into small towns or villages, this percentage would go up to 95%.

The fact that Indian content is banned in Pakistan, is another reason. Although all Indian movies are available on several online platforms but people dont really like it any more.


It would have been interesting to know, how much Indians watch Pakistani dramas or listen to Pakistani Music.

Bhai main reason is that history series like Usman ghazi and Ertugral and drama series like Ehd e wafa are mostly watched by Pakistanis nowadays.so literally no time for any movie.

These series are on internet for several years. But why people prefer them more than Indian content is the real question. Pakistanis have more in common with Indian content than Turkish history. How many Pakistanis watch Turkish comedy or talk shows?? Zero.

I believe one reason is several Pakistani YouTube channels have filled the vacuum left by Indian content in Pakistan. Every one has a smart phone and has a choice of watching whatever he or she likes, unlike in the past when one TV at home would be watched by every one.
