Deesa is not the only base we have near border. there are many.

For the people who want to destroy Indian airbases near border with rockets should know where their bases are located. it could backfire.

i m not really learned on the matter but the ons near the border are mostly FOBs used in war only

Large barrage of rocket fire can burn down any structure , be it an airbase or other military installations.

PAF used rocket pods on F-86 to attack indian airbases and putting runways out of operation.

why cannot be a rocket system as powerful as A-100 cannot be used for that matter and be advised i am talking a battalion of MRLs not an individual system.

A-100 rockets are fitted with internal guidance system and is highly accurate , proven during Azam e nau 3.

There is a problem with MRLs. They are not accurate.
You yourself gave an example of rockets mounted on aircraft. Almost all aircraft had unguided rockets on aircraft as the offensive ground weapon. Even our Mig 21s have them.

But in case of aircraft, they are accurate, because they are delivered with precision, during a dive. When the aircraft is diving, it aligns itself with the target to aim, this way the rockets hit the target.

In case of MRLs, you need to have the EXACT co-ordinates, and then these co-ordinated are used to guide the rockets. Since the co-ordinates can never be so accurate as to destroy a runway, they are never used in such cases. Rockets are used for collateral damage to an area, like a fuel dump, ammunition depot, or military camps, and mostly as s support to ground troops.

Even in Kargil when pinaka are fired.. they tested coordinates by firing one rocket first... adjusted coordinates and they continued this until it was made precise .. Then salvos are fired..


If you do this do you know how the retaliation will be ??.. Jaguars will be on the head.....

brahmos is just super sonic crusie missile.. the difference is just speed, we have cruise missiles aswell, dont forget that.

Firing a cruise missile is different than firing a ballastic..

Most of your cruise missiles are detectable and intercept able.. with the current arsenal what India has .... can you say the same with Brahmos?? do you have anything to intercept in your arsenal??

Since you talk about childish talk, let me ask you how do you think MRLS can be used to carpet bomb an airbase, refer to the jagjitnatt post and tell me you know the difference between a destruction caused by carpet bombing or multiple rocket fired by MRLS? Do you know the difference KID?

Lol.. did pinaka target an airbase during kargil. grow up kid, how you gona see where the rokets are falling to adjust them.
Secondly, can an unguided rocket be made precise this way? fire the rocket from the same location it will not fall on the same spot..
