NDTV: India's Faceoff with China A sign of The Future

.
DF-21 isn't simply fire-and-forget like a regular ATGM, it requires systems to keep the missile on target all the way up and all the way down including a phase or reentry which there is temporary loss of communication. So disruption of those relaying systems, jamming, and maneuvering of the carrier all effect the performance of those missiles.

I don't think time is on China's side anymore. It was a prospect before various countries developed defense relations which meant that they could be dealt with 1 on 1. The foundation of the network of defense relations have all been developed in the last couple of years.

The US just commissioned its first Ford-class carrier. Just that carrier alone is more capable than both of China's current carriers. In 10 years, both India's and Vietnam's GDPs will be much higher today than they are now so they'll start to develop fair greater capable militaries. Japan's defense spending still has room to go up. All around, there's too much even for a country as big as China.
You think the China of today is anywhere near its full power? It's barely at 25% of its potential. And speaking of defense spending having room to go up, by the lowest estimates, US defense expenditures are 3.5% of GDP, while China's are 1.4%. Calculated at PPP adjusted prices, China spends the equivalent of $285B while the US spends $600B. Again, this is at the most conservative estimate.

Oh, time is on China's side, rest assured. Your little effort at rustling up a "containment" alliance failed miserably with the demise of Obama's pivot. This notion of building a containment alliance out of countries for whom China is the largest trading partner is laughable. But hey, if America wants to keep flushing its money down the toilet, good for America and better for China.

As for your latest gizmo, it is completely irrelevant. It's a tiny floating airfield that China can turn into a coral reef at its pleasure. It can send out 90 planes? How cute. China can send out thousands. And that you have to pin your hopes on India and Vietnam says it all, really.

they build toyota cars and sony tv sets. they work forever

They built Camry and PS4, but their military toys look more pathetic than ever.

Even China's training aircraft is better than this.

Lets hope no bullets are fired for decades to come as well :-). Just for a reminder, China has disputes with not just India, but with dozen more countries. Maybe Chinese people need to rethink about their expansionist policies :-).

So Chinese here have finally found the Chini psyops written by that certified commie stooge Mihir Sharma for Bloomberg!

Here is the real stand of our nation.......China ILLEGALLY made a mud road in 2003-04 at the disputed territory in spite of strong objections from Bhutan, knowing that a small country like Bhutan with less than a million population and barely any military to speak of can't do much against shameless Chinese occupation. This time China tried to convert that mud path into a permanent all-weather road, and we had to step in to stop that thuggery. You may not be knowing the relations between Bhutan and India, but we are duty-bound to protect Bhutan, it's our responsibility. Now China knows that it can't push around a country of India's stature & strength...hence the endless frothing in the mouth. For all its claims of being a peaceful responsible country and a rising power; China is nothing but a glorified thug.

Our position is, and always has been that China must stop the road construction and go back to its previous position and promise to maintain status quo for us to go back, China has stopped the road construction since then, now it just needs to go back...and China will. Otherwise we will continue to maintain our position there and wait for the war as promised by China...hope China will keep her promise.

Very succinctly expressed.

Your way of thinking is the same that countries like France had towards Germany after WW1 as it punished the generations born after the war. Why should the generations born after a war still be punished for something they did nothing about?

It is also historically unintelligent to not look at the geopolitical history of those times at the causes of war and to try to learn from history in order to make a better future. We have had over 70 years of no war, and now you want to make war because of something that happened over 70 years ago. Your crazy.

It's quite easy, Japan should learn from history or geopolitics, give up all disputes area with China, Russia, and Korea, like how Japan gave up the disputed islands with USA in the Pacific. We are all winners of WWII, it's Japan fault it don't admit history, geopolitics and only carry out postwar disposals with USA.

It's normally difficult for commies to comprehend that everyone has a voice and a right to voice their opinion - even traitors and local commies. This is in stark contrast to the same style red book posts of every chinese member I have seen for the last few years on this forum.

And, this in one forum that the chinese are there in droves, just because its highly favorable towards the chinese members - Everywhere else, the troll brigade gets owned.

If you really believe what you posted, you are brainwashed beyond repair. Not only each and every Chinese have his or her voice, but also there are lots of media outlets online or off that literally dedicated to anti- CPC rants. Only if you are capable of reading Chinese, you would find yourself so wrong.

The problem is we Chinese communicate exclusively in Chinese, from street vendors to top scholars, and their voices are hardly heard outside of China. What you know about China is what western media decided to let you know.

In the other hand, there are 200 million Chinese who are capable of reading English, the most important communication tools for you guys on anything with any degree of significance. So you don't know us, but we read you like an open book.

Nothing worse than being brainwashed while singing praise of "free media".

Penny wise pound foolish act by Chinese. For few pennies (silly small steps, Hafiz, NSG, this standoff, etc) they have lost pounds (India, Indian market etc). They are foolish to the core. Very short sighted diplomatic policy.

The thing is they are 5 times of your size by selling their cheap products to you that you guys never had enough. If they were as foolish as you said, then your lot must be pretty dumb.

.
China will concede on NSG and/or Hafiz Saeed and India will withdraw - don't know which will happen first but this will be the condition. China has been crying hoarse since day 1. No one takes China very seriously.

China is the aggressive country with the Senkaku Islands and you and the other Chinese forum readers know it but can't admit it. This disposition is another example of aggression. Whatever the CCP government says, you are obedient to it and treat it as absolute. Aggressive and dangerous.
Japan is still occupied by US's army. We even doubt if we can still call Japan a country. If Japanese have any tiny dignity and self-respect, Please let US withdraw theirs army first. Don't be the servant of US again.
