Will you in essence agree with NS (in that specific video), that pakistan need to seek alternative sources to fund projects that are needed urgently, till the point taxation is scaled up.

More tax collection is necessary there, but pakistan needs huge capital investment, something money collected in tax alone cant fund.

Whole of Bar-e-Saghir needs trillions of dollars in capital. The sheer number of people (hundreds of millions) in absolute poverty is just horrendous. How on earth did the region drop so low from the days of Mughal Sultanate when it was the first or the second richest in the world to one of the most poorest in the world?

Huge taxation is currently the only way forward as there are more than enough people with enough wealth who can change the face of the country. If the Japanese can do it, so can we.

Please tell us which group Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf intends to target ie upper, middle or lower class? What is to be taxed ie roads, transport, ownership of property, salaries, etc. How will this taxation be enforced?

Moreover, i heard about plans to have FBR offices hooked up to local government bodies and they will collect tax from Mohalla level, all the way up to federal FBR which will collect tax from large enterprises and corporations. PTI taxation policy will tax any farmer with 55+ acre cultivatable land while small farmers will be exempted and in some cases subsidized with soft loans for fertilizer and pesticide.

PTI also holds plans to start an independent intelligence and investigation agency to keep checks and balances on FBR and NAB. The agency will directly report to the govt.

I've heard that in Iran there are so many government agencies that monitor each other (including the Ayatollah), that its almost impossible for any Goverment body or person to get away with anything. That's checks and balance for you. No wonder their country has managed to fend off all foreign dictates for more than three decades.

The best Nawaz and Shahbaz can do is money laundering. Build 2-3 high-profile projects with direct dealing with some foreign company. Take 10%-20% kick-back. Award the sub-contract for materials to their own companies. Build a hype over these projects using "lafafa-journalists".
