I have noticed this trend mostly in pashto speaking people, the only athiest pakistanis that I met in my life in person while living in europe were all pashto speaking folks so-called champion of islam group in pakistan .
Since then I have got doubtful about muslim credentials of pashto speakers and their understanding of Islam as a religion, many already say their religion is pashtunwali, watch this video of a captured pashtun taliban in afghanistan who does not even know who "Muhammad" the prophet of islam is , but I am sure he knows who Ahmed shah abdali the trash is

Well i guess you're right, i am not a pashtu speaker but have pashtun blood in me.... used to give a lot of heed to religion, now.... not so much, as far as pashtunwali goes you're right pashtuns mix it a lot with religion IMPO....
But in pakistan religion should be a personal matter not national...

You guys can do some serious SICK as* propaganda and just flat out inhumane politics. You don't even let God's affairs out of your personal agendas. Isn't Mecca the holiest place for Muslims? So why would you judge someone when they go there for their personal relationship with God. By doing that, you are acting like God yourself. Let the creator judge his intentions as to why he really went there, for personal or other needs. Why should we the tax payers pay for Nawaz Sharif's sins ? and under what premise should 60 staff and family travel with him ?

That is another issue which i don't know of but all I know is that this man comes every month of Ramadan and I have seen him personally in the Masjid Al-haram and also in Medina. If there are some other reasons behind his visit then I hope it drops in the benefit of both the Pakistani and the Saudi people.

Yes I want pakistan to have Sunni islam as state religion, but people should be free to practice their own religion as they want as long as they don't hurt the religious feelings of Sunnis of pakistan who make up 90% of pakistan's population because our culture has been shaped by fundamentals of Sunni islam just like the culture of northern europe has been shaped by Protestants Christianity and that of southern europe has been shaped by Catholic christianity.
