Everybody in India knows - Modi's a corporate stooge and will stoop any low to serve them, Imran just saying it out loud. Kudos to him for having the guts
There is no politics here. He is right when he says there is a conflict of interest. The same is being said in many places besides Imran. Imran is not criticizing Modi's visit, its the circumstances he is criticizing that led to this meeting. A business man acting as a middle man between two head of states should raise eyebrows.
Imran Khan is perhaps a novice to world history. Business community has played a role in diplomacy in many countries and through out history. Armand Hammer was a go between USSR and the U.S during the cold war.
Business community plays critical role in diplomacy. Marshal plan to rebuild Europe had the U.S business community driving much of the agenda. It should be welcomed that India and Pakistan use 'all' channels as a means to keep the conversation going.
Save the history lesson for another time and re read what Imran said and to what i replied. Nawaz likes to run Pakistan like an institution. He has his business interest foremost and above every thing. He is a business man which makes him unsuitable for Primer ship because there comes conflict of interest. So when a business man tries to act as a bridge between two leaders of hostile countries, Nawaz meets him in his personal home rather than in Islamabad (federation), makes it look like as a personal visit by Modi to wish Nawaz Happy Birthday, it is bound to raise questions.
Business interests make potential enemies friends. Look at the U.S and China relationship.
Modi is mellowing Nawaz Sherif, on one hand reminding him of his business interests in India and asking him to support Indian bid for permanent seat in UNSC.Politics being played. Not to be taken seriously.
why Imran Khan is talking the language of GHQ khakis? doesnt me know its haram? Nawaz Sherif has 200 tons of Public mandate which he will convert into Indian Iron with the help of his Indian business partners.Nawaz, Modi meeting has 'underlying conflict of interest': Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan, on Saturday took to Twitter, saying that there was a “conflict of interest” for a business associate to arrange a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
The PTI chairman, however, welcomed the revival of relationships between the longstanding arch rivals.
“We welcome the thaw in Pak-India relations, but to have a business associate arrange the two prime ministers’ meetings has an underlying conflict of interest,” he tweeted.
Referring to an earlier secret meeting between the two leaders, he said, “Meetings of the two prime ministers, from the secret meeting in Kathmandu to the one in Lahore, must be done through institutional frameworks with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the loop for sustainability.”
Further, Imran said that such meetings held between the prime ministers undermines a process whereby tensions can be eased, and raises questions and conflict of interest.
The remarks come a day after Modi made a brief surprise visit to Lahore where he met with PM Nawaz and visited his residence in Raiwind.
It was the first time an Indian premier had stepped foot on Pakistani soil in more than 10 years and was seen by analysts as a step towards normalising ties between the two neighbours which have fought three wars.
Nawaz, Modi meeting has 'underlying conflict of interest': Imran - The Express Tribune
If Nawaz Sharif meeting Modi is 'conflict of interest', then what the heck is this?
No it does not? No body in the US or China is doing business with each other at the expense of national interests. Nawaz is unfit because his Business interests supersedes Pakistan's interests. Forget Kashmir Nawaz has no policy over water that India continues to build dam on. I can give you countless such examples but considering my past experience with you, i'll simply pass.
Yes forget Kashmir- 92% don't want to be a part of Pakistan too. Then why are you fighting for it when you could be feeding, sustaining, growing your economy by giving your people jobs due to access to what is soon going to become- one of the largest economies in the world?
I can't believe I'm far more educated in your country affairs than you.
Don't think some PM will be so materialistic and anti national at 65. He's a peace lover since start but always bugged down by the army. After Kerry lugar bill he knows he is safe and can pursue his pro India stance more aggressively.Modi is mellowing Nawaz Sherif, on one hand reminding him of his business interests in India and asking him to support Indian bid for permanent seat in UNSC.

together as brothers there wont be any conflict of interest.
Modi came to Lahore to assure Nawaz the support Indian military in his "Just" fight against the GHQ who doesnt respect the heavy mandate
