Nawaz forbidden from making speech in Davos due to corruption investigation

Look at this matter thusly:

If the leaders at Davos prefer an ex-COAS over an elected PM (no matter which party) from Pakistan, that alone tells you what suits their own interests better. Corruption in a third world country does not bother them, but they do need effective instruments to support their policies.

Exactly...But it requires courage and guts to accept it...And if you go by the history of Pakistan, it is the Army and the generals who are more alligned with West than other way around...

.
Oh yes, that's right. What better way to say "thank you" for his service.

Still waiting to hear from you as to why NS was so eager to get involved in Davos, especially as per your logic its an event for servants of the West

As expected an Indian comes to the defense of NS..........i wonder why?

I do not know the context of the forum , and if all world leaders were presenting or doing a speech. However it would have made sense for Minister of Finance would have been ideal person for such gathering.

However if General Raheel Sharif (Retired) was given a chance to give his view point it was again a tremendous honor to him.

As for Mr Nawaz Sharif , as Head of state , he is due respect for his position , and it would have also been quite fair that he was allowed to give a speech , or at least he should have been told in advance if he was invited to the forum

Sometimes such situations are intentionally created for creating a rift , as we can also see with a campaign against Raheel Sharif in media in certain circles.

There is always more to it , then what meets every one's eyes

For me , I have great amount of respect for retired General , and similar as current head of state I generally have respect for Mr Nawaz Sharif , regardless of what domestic issues he may be under gowing as it its our own internal matter (NRO generally protects him , as he was forcefully sent out of country before)

All about unity folk

  • Full support behind the Military and present Government (With their economic focus)

This is how Russia and China handled the Panama paper "revelations"
_original

If folks wish to complete in election they should focus on upcoming Elections in 1-2 Years , mean while courts may impose a fine on Nawaz's family (On Children who reported their earning incorrectly if it is found as such )

PTI have a solid case for upcoming elections and they can certain gain some following I myself see it as a progressive party

Lets move on from this Limbo status

It is not about NS...Most of the Indian are not habituated with any Military rule, so obviously, we always support any Gov which is democratically elected by people than any Military rule...In your case, whoever is elected by your people, India always support them....If your military leader are so powerful who is stopping them to run for the Gov???

Call it competence, or call it being a better partner for foreign powers. Two sides of the same coin, perhaps? After all, foreign powers would want to spend their resources on those best suited to support their own goals, right?
Support their resources with a retired general who is no longer leading even a hawaldar.
Seriously doc, sometimes you really speak weird out of hatred

Does anyone think that the leaders congregating at Davos are angels? They honor only those who serve them, plain and simple.
At least someone is fit enough to go and make a speech. He did also mention the word of Kashmir and Palestine. Something that bald leader wouldnt have balls to says in 100 years too

The point is that leaders at Davos think that the Army is a more effective partner to work with for their own goals. That is all, and my meaning is very clear.
Sir! Main theme of this year's WEF was Anti Corrouption and Anti Terrorism. How in the world would it have been possible for WEF to invite someone named in Panama Leaks to talk about anti corrouption.

RS was invited for a track on anti terrorism.

Enough of this civil military conspiracy and international powers behind it regarding WEF.

“The Panama Papers showed the world how the crooks of this world stash away their money,” Swiss anti-corruption expert Mark Pieth said at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters.

So what could be a similar reason for the ex-COAS to go there, possibly?

And what power does ex-COAS (read: retired and without control of the army) has in Pakistan that he'll be more useful than a sitting PM??

Unless you are implying that RS is being treated as next candidate for PM by leaders at Devos??

And did you even bother listening to any speeches and debate/discussion RS took part in? And can your NS be part of any debate/discussion without a written paper slip in front of him?

We don't give a toss about your support or view for any type of government formed in Pakistan. Kindly keep such gestures to yourself and focus on your country.

Nawaz Sharif had gone to attend the Davos Forum without any invitation from its sponsors and spent millions of rupees on his visit out of the national kitty. But he had to face disappointment when he was not allowed to address the forum. The prime minister stayed in five-star hotels in Switzerland at the cost of the nations’ taxpayers.

@Syed.Ali.Haider

IMO he was called in to give his views from his experience in fighting terrorism.

Allah kareem... maryam nawaz :sarcastic:

Even if Allah intends for me to be the most corrupt person on earth, I hope I never become so beghairat that I shift all the blame to my own daughter.

Why do you think Allah would intend to make someone corrupt, according to Islam its our own doing and our own choice.
