I pointed out that Islamic injunctions in the constitutions do create limitations on the parliament and the Islamic injunctions plat a crucial role in the legislative process since non Islamic law can be struck down by the federal shariah court and laws against fundamental rights can be struck down by the parliament however PLD 2015 SC 401 laid down that the supreme court can have judicial review of any legislation passed by the parliament and this decision would complement the PLD 2015 SC 401 and strengthen the fact that

1. Parliament is not supreme.
2. That the supreme court can strike down any law passed by the parliament.
