Navy, Army and IAF finally agree to procure armed drones from US in $3 bn deal

The final FMS sale hasn't gone through yet but the letter of request has been sent and Boeing has gotten permission from Congress , final negotiations are going on for the 1.8 Bil$ deal and it should be finished in the next couple of months ,with deliveries beginning after 2022 by which time the last of the original 12 should get delivered . make no mistake they are definitely coming

India prefers a staggered delivery schedule to bring up facilities at Port Blair and Hansa which will be the other bases for this besides the primary base at Arakonnam .
You are right here however you previously said 'a couple of years back India signed another deal for 6 more planes'. There is no point counting it till the contract has been signed.

.
In light of defeat India faced on Feb 2019, these are potent steps clearly, Indians are taking by investing heavily in S400 Missile systems, new radars and then heavily pairing EW with advanced MALE drones so that India can flex its muscle effectively and efficiently.

With 4.5 Generation Rafales as the IAF mainstay, new modern attack fighters coupled with agile Su 30 mkis, & Mirage 2000s, it is certainly giving severe "headaches" to PAF officers and its planners now and Pakistanis 220 million overall now.

Other than JF17 Block III announcements, no proper and wholesome response at all has come out from PAF or Pakistani Government itself sadly.
