NATO should have been dissolved after Soviet collapse: China

Weaken it in and out bit by bit, like what Russia is doing.

China herself can outdo them, and do European countries really want to shift their defence priority to China instead of Russia? I only see a big schism is coming
Nato is run by usa. Eu countries have very limited power over nato decisions. And usa already decided pivot to china. Russia is no longer credible threat to nato once Ukraine war is over.

The opposite is true. Germany is rearming. Germany defense budget alone will be bigger than Russia. Putin is a liar. Lavrov is a liar. Nobody trust them. The west see them with Russia as pariah. You can hug them as close as you please.
You make yourself to target.

Then what does "pivotting China" global strategy shift comes from?

We are at war in Ukraine, we have more serious issues than China, el Salvador or Botswana.

At the moment its about giving Russia a complete defeat. Which each day passing we get more bold. At beginning we expected Ukraine to fall but as they did hold we send more and more deadly weapons. Now the russian northern front has completly fallen. We now send thousands of tanks to Ukraine, artillery, switchblade weapons, give intelligence ect to see whats possible. The offers from one week ago, that Ukraine might think anout accepting crimea as russia are off table now too. We see a chance to even take this away from from russia. So you see at beginning NATO considered big concessions, now we reach the point where we can destroy all russian interests there. We licked russian blood and you know how we are.

Once we are done with Russia we see what we do next...

That's why I say a big schism is coming, EU depends on China for trade and it's security concern is Russia, EU and US interests are not always aligned, especially when seeing US declining year on year.

We'll make sure you will never be done with Russia, now you can even see why China is firmly with Russia, a good start.

It could be true. But world is changing. The idea that trade will stop countries to go on a full scale war is no longer the case.

Eu will be ever more dependent on usa just wait and watch after Ukraine war. U can thank putin for fucking blunder and give usa such a nice opportunity. Not only eu will be depend on usa for security but also energy security as well in future. And they already buying billions of usa arms. Its like xmas came early for Americans.

NATO No More! US-Led Bloc Should Have Been Dissolved in 1991, China Says

April 1, 2022 4:33 PM

According to China, NATO should have been sent straight to the waste bin after the USSR was dissolved, and the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine could have been avoided.

As a product of the Cold War, NATO should have become history when the Soviet Union disintegrated,” said Beijing spokesperson Zhao Lijian during a press conference on Friday, as cited by RT News. He went on to criticize the western-led military bloc for gradually expanding east towards Russia’s borders, violating promises made to the former Soviet Union and ultimately compromising Moscow’s security. This made NATO “the initiator and biggest promoter of the Ukraine crisis” on account of Washington he lamented, adding that the bloc should think long and hard about what security benefits it actually offers to the European Union.

Moscow repeatedly attributed NATO’s decades-long eastward expansion as the straw that finally broke the proverbial camel’s back in terms of reasoning behind the military operation in Ukraine. The Chinese government, too, has frequently accused the West of stoking the flames with Russia and failing to acknowledge the country’s legitimate security concerns. Beijing continues to refrain from joining the West in its sanctions against Russia, instead calling such restrictions illegal and deemed to fail in resolving the conflict ultimately caused Washington in the first place.

The US, in the meantime, blasted China for being on the “wrong side of history” by failing to support Ukraine, with the Biden administration going as far as threatening to punish Beijing should it provide aid to Russia’s military or economy.
