I never said they look at the mountains for navigation. All i am saying is its difficult to spot the border. There is no clear line drawn there so 600 Meter is easy mistake to make.
Get some basic knowledge on how things are done on Afghanistan Pakistan border.
Stop harping on "basic knowledge" sermon...We all are here to learn and i can clearly see that along with me you also need some learning..... It seems you are suggesting me that borders are pointed by looking at them. what i am trying to say is that it is likely for a foot soldier who has lost its way but not for a copter on hot pursuits....Please think from this angle that there is no great wall of china between india and Pakistan to clearly tell what side lies in Pakistan and what not, we have borders from deserts to mountains and what not....Mind it i am not denying there cannot be human error but in today's era you don't spot borders just by looking at them....There are things called military maps and GPS which tells you what your positions are....
Anyways human error or no human error as per Pak NATO copter violated their Air-Space and it doesn't look like any action was taken as was bragged about during last unfortunate incident....I think you may atleast agree to this part....
