Nation celebrates Pahela Baishakh

All religions are good and all give very sound ways to be a good person and responsible to the society at large.

Call it morality if you wish.

I wonder if any religion denies a person to live his life in a manner which decries others from living the way the others like to live.

As soon as we apply our set of principles on others and insist that our way is the sole and true way, it is then that conflicts occur, even of both the sets of people are moralistic in their own way.

Live and Let Live.

Why is there the rift between sects of religions?

Because each feels that they are the only true believer and their way is the only way!

Morality is a different factor which typically comes with the DNA. If someone becomes an oppressor his/her sons will become an oppressor. Same for the good ones.

The definition of morality is relative and varies society to society. So it can not be preprogrammed through DNA.

Absolutely right.

Religion alone is not what prompts.

Societal environment also plays a part.

In Saudi Arabia, the wahabis find it their way, but not so in other parts of the Islamic world!

The religion is the same, but the circumstances of society are different.

Islam does recognize other religion as well as non believer. So there should not be any rift but once you are in Islam then certain laws does apply to you. Its not easy to be a muslim.

Then why do we see the closure of jails in Nordic countries and Tibet. As people don't follow oppressive lifestyle their sons and daughters follow the same. In Egypt they got rid of their dictators by protesting peacefully but what would the afghans do?
Maybe DNA isn't preprogrammed but aggressiveness is as much carried through blood as well as creativity.

Well as you are mentioning wahabis, you should know little more how actually Islam recognize differing opinions. There is Quran which only gives you instruction but not the way you perform. Then there are Hadith which explains little more about Quran. The rest is left out to the Fikah which means consensus among Islamic scholars. So there are things which differs from scholars to scholars and society to society and which is OK. If somebody come across with differing opinion with any subject matter then the instruction is he/she accept any of the opinion in his/her own will and follow that and will be acceptable to almighty. Islam alwasy says that everybody should avoid Fesad which we ignorant always fail to do.

The most aggressive people I came across are the White European. You will know if you had few white friends. It all depend on socio economic condition as well as education.

To tell you the truth the Saudis do not like people to think about this too much or question too much same is the dominant issue with most Christians, who state you cannot question religion. Just pointing out that in Islam you can, plus Islam is also shaped in manner that it can wrapped into any society sadly most tend to try to bring the Arabic culture along with Islam which does not work in rest of the world for example non-arab African European countries or even Pakistan. for example, in Pakistan some people even suggest making the national language Arabic but that is an epic fail. It's alright to teach the language and it should be given importance as it can help understand the religion but changing the language would not work.

In the end it depends on what religion you talk about because they tend to differ. Scientology for example won't bother society to much, the only change it might contribute is a bunch of homeless people.
