He was born there after his Dad moved there from Gujranwala (Pakistani Punjab) for work & he stayed there till his mid teens, I think before they moved back to what became Pakistani Punjab & settled in the City of Lahore where they stayed ever since ! So they never had to move when the Partition happened but some of their extended family members did.
