Nope its actually spelled as 'dickie' ! This is what it says on Wiki : The trunk or boot of an automobile or car is the vehicle's main storage compartment. Trunk is used in North American English and Jamaican English, while boot is used elsewhere in the English-speaking world – except in South Asia, where it is usually called a dickie.

I know one lady in our neighborhood who married to Pakistani - yes they also moved after revolution before that couple was living in Tehran. I often see Iranians who are living in Pakistan & students who are studying in Pakistan. But personally don't know anyone.
I'm more Punjabi than you but I've always pronounced it as dickie !
