NASR Opens New Chapter in India-Pakistan Arms Race.

thanks to this test the pakistanis have ensured that they will face an overwelming nuclear strike in the case of the use of a tactical nuke.
That's why I ask the above question,
So which nuclear weapon Pakistan would use first ? tactical first or strategic first ?
This mini nuke is would make India not to break it's "No 1st use Policy" !

any nuke tactical or strategic will be considered as first strike unless pakistan uses a nuke on its own soil

Very interesting point some of you raise: Will Pakistan use Nuclear weapons on its own soil? Especially considering that Karachi and Lahore are so close to the IB, thus putting their 2 biggest cities at risk of contamination by their own nukes.

Well that assumes, with great optimism, That the IBG will be able to make penetrations

It gives Pakistan a deterrent against heavy troop concentrations. A Corp marching towards you, got nothing to lose. Fire a tactical nuke. Minimizing civil casualties, break up the troop concentration. They aren't organized, they aren't a threat. Half a kiloton nuke warhead means it isn't highly enriched, which means you can deploy it even when your nuke stockpile is low. Plus radiation released can be contained easier than as compared with a full blown nuke.

Well tactically you have little to loose but strategically a lot loose.

India's NFU policy ensures than any Nuclear strike against it would be met with massive response..so if you decide to use your first strike on an IBG(since Corps will no longer be marching as single consolidated unit) instead of an all out nuclear attack..you will ensure that Indian second strike will seriously limit your ability to launch more nukes.

So there is possibility India will escape with minimal damage(in nuclear terms).

People still believe that we are only going to launch just one nuke and then India is going to fire back with everything it's got.

When we strike, we strike hard.

So if you are launching your entire arsenal..signifying a dying stroke ie. you can not any longer fight/win conventional war ..due to relatively shallow incursion(as envisaged in cold start)..what is the point of you even having an army?

many pakistanis are unable to understand the moment it tries nukes it already lost the war and everything most pa generals must pack up to duba4 or watch thei

Our friends are talking of nuke strike as if they are cracking marriage bombs. If Pakistan fires first nuke then rest assure we are ready to receive one or more as well. Both sides very well know that the other one also have all types of missiles in numbers in their inventories which can strike anywhere so decision needs to be well thought of.

we should restrict to thread topic instead of trying to satisfy egos

Irrespective of NASR, I think we are into some sort of arm race lead by India spending billions of $s in military hardware, may be that is the script to put Pakistan into sense of insecurity thereby forcing it to spend more on Defence and get trapped into economic crunch and finally come under its own weight . So our planners need to be very care while making defence spendings. IMO NASR is good threat posed by Pakistan to counter Indian strategy of cold start. I doubt we will ever be involved in to nuclear war until both sides lose sane heads over their shoulders

their families getting burnt in indian nuclear fires .I consider this test as an admission that by PA that pakistan already lost the race

Except the Smerch is just a projectile..nothing more..
You can escape getting hit bad from a smerch strike.. not a missile that can follow you around.. with a small tactical nuke.

A ballistic missile that follows you around...???? :O

all it takes to destroy pakistan as a state is to lob a few 200kt nukes on karachi ,rawalpindi and islamabad .Where as pakistan with their

current demonstrated yields need just 20-30 nukes to dent a fraction of bombay.Stuart slade is a good authority to read on nuke warfare
