well ,you guys had your field day , but only if you knew how many of those wives were not Iranian but from neighborly countries from north and south

there is a small chance that it was the standard of beauty then... or may be the king was into such thing....
when i see chinese foot binding story, or neck/lip expanding africans .. I find it hard to believe that people actually like it.

They didn't. The first ones are the Qajars, probably the most hated and cowardly rulers of Iran ever. The last pic is the last shah of Iran, a Pahlavi. They are 2 different families.

My father named my youngest brother after Raza Pahlvi .

They are male actors dressed as females because women weren't allowed to perform at the theatre back in the days

She is a great-great-granddaughter of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar, who ruled Iran from 1797 to 1834, by one of his wives, Begom Khanom, daughter of Hossein Qoli Khan Afshar, niece of Begom Khanom, daughter Emam Qoli Khan Afshar, through their son Jahansouz Shah.
