nanjing massacre is mentioned very frequently so people lose interest and dont look into things. but as i looked into it now i realized that it was indeed very horrific. maybe the crimes committed in asia were greater than those committed in europe during that period. that was indeed a very nasty time in human history.

Morality of superior orders. Unfortunately it was not so in the past. And the travesty of epic proportions happened when Japan's war in China led to the extermination of some 30 million folks. It was and is a crime against heaven. I hope we learn to repent the right way and we all move forward. Maybe in 300 years.

I have spent most of my time there in Jiangsu, so yes, I feel welcomed there. Will be going back there next year.

It seems that Japanese forgive themselves very quickly. The afterwar generations soon became denial and Abe claims no more "regrets" as if they had had any sincere apologies. For us some Japanese are worse than those 75 years ago.

European gentlemen should remember how Germans recovered from ww1 and started ww2.
