Almost all so-called libral journalists like these are covert-PPPliyas. They try to wear a neutral mask, but if you keep an eye on them for long time you will realize they are PPPliyas.
Hence Najam Sethi desperately wants NOT to have early election (while saying that IK wants early elec bcoz his popularity going down), just like Zardari. Because they have to pave ground for rigging for PPP. Zardari said he didn't believe Pak population was 22 cror, rather he believed it was 30 cror. Why he felt the need to say that in current situation? Because he will create fake voters. SS announced amnesty scheme for those who have multiple ID cards. Again pointing to same things that they are planning to create fake voters by issuing multiple IDs to same person.


Other thing is, listen carefully, Najam Sethi contradicts him own last sentence in every other sentence.

Strictly speaking, blanket import bans never work. In Pakistan’s case they translate into smuggling.

Contrary to PDM propaganda, economy which they inherited is OK. Forex reserves were high, Rs was at 160s, inflation was high but that’s a global phenomena. That bit PDM in the *** as they were building a narrative that inflation was due to Imran Khan. Well they can have the cake and shove it up their behind’s too.

Coming to next steps, remove the subsidies on oil and start buying oil and wheat from suppliers that sell you at the cheapest rate (hint Russia).

Very interesting interview of Najam Sethi. It shows that the daramadi gormint is very scared, and so is the establishment. Imran Khan has slipped out of their control and they can’t do anything about it because of the support he has within the military itself.

Sethi said that the establishment’s planning is reported to IK, so he knows what they’re up to, but they don’t know what he’s doing. This shows how elements in the military are supporting IK.

The establishment made a huge blunder to try to please their American masters. They’ve brought the country to the brink of economic disaster.

Imran Khan was trying to run the country within the status quo, which was slowing him down. Now if/when he comes back he should make radical decisions to reform the system of governance. This means bringing the military under civilian control and to purge the bureaucracy, police, judiciary etc. In addition, switch to a presidential system, create 30+ provinces etc.

One thing people forget about fixing the economy is Karachi. Exports and economic growth will not happen as long as Karachi is controlled by Zardari. By hook or crook Karachi needs to be taken out of Zardari’s claws.
