It does not matter if he declares it now or not because he has been caught red handed. He had to declare it while submitting his documents for contesting the elections.

Someone holding a covert iqama means he plan to use it as an escape route..there is no problem to declare and keep a iqama for genuine purpose..for example..holding property in UAE...family visit..having business in UAE..
