The National Accountability Bureau (NAB)-Lahore has summoned former first lady Bushra Bibi’s close friend Farah Khan, her husband Ahsan Iqbal Jamil and Chaudhry Majeed, along with 19 others, in the assets case against her.
The anti-graft watchdog has directed Farah to appear before the deputy director at the NAB provincial headquarters at Thokar Niaz Baig, along with relevant documents on July 20, while her husband Ahsan Iqbal Jamil has been also summoned on the same day.

In addition to this, NAB has also summoned Abdul Majeed, Tariq Mahmoodul Hassan, Mazahir Baig, Munir, Asif and Waqar in the same case on July 15 while Muhammad Farid has been ordered to appear on July 14.
Shandana Awan, Mohammad Naeem, Waqas Rifat, Sajid Hussain, Ahmed Mansoor, Asad Majeed, Hamid Hameed, Shehzad Ahmed, Anwarul Haq and Nasir Nawaz have also been summoned in the same case.

Earlier in May, the NAB-Lahore had summoned four accused in the assets beyond means case of Farah Khan. The bureau had sent notices to her manager, cashier and bankers. All four people were directed to appear before the NAB on May 30 along with the relevant records.

In April, the anti-graft watchdog had stated in a press statement that the DG NAB Lahore was directed to conduct an inquiry against Farah Khan over allegations of illegal assets beyond known sources of income, money laundering and maintaining various accounts in the name of different businesses.

An investigation by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has unearthed Farhat Shahzadi alias Farah Khan’s multimillion rupees house in a posh locale of Islamabad.
The 1000-square-yard house, located in sector F-7 of the federal capital, was initially purchased for a sum of Rs200 million nearly one and a half years ago.
As per the probe, the house was bought from a citizen identified as Shandana Awan in a multimillion rupees deal.

The bureau has sent a notice to Shandana Awan to appear before NAB on July 19.
NAB alleges the use of ill-earned money by Farah to buy the said asset.
On the other hand, Ahsan Gujjar, the husband of the suspect told SAMAA TV that they acquired the property through hard-earned money.
He said they got the house transferred through CDA and paid all applicable revenue taxes.
“Will appear before NAB if the need arises for it,” he added.
Ahsan lamented that “the money for the transaction was transferred through legal accounts” and therefore should not be probed like a money laundering case.
He further stated that the family intends to return to Pakistan as their house and business are in the country.
Meanwhile, NAB Lahore has summoned at least 19 individuals for the said case utilizing authority granted to the bureau under section 19 of the NAB ordinance. Those summoned include the suspect Farah Khan, her husband, and other relevant persons.
Ahsan Gujjar argues that the move by NAB Lahore is illegal and his legal team will contest the order summoning various individuals in the court.
He also alleged that anti-graft body’s officials and Faisalabad police harassed the domestic workers employed in his DHA house, though he does not hold any video evidence of the incident.
The businessman blamed the government for using NAB, the anti-corruption department and the police against him.
“Our family is being apparently targeted for vengeance which has taken a toll on our mental health,” he stressed while pointing out that they are innocent and did everything within the ambit of the law.
He also highlighted that his family members are neither politicians nor worked as elected representatives, thereby all these measures undertaken by the government are a waste of hard-earned public money as well as time.
The family has decided against any TV interview of Farah Khan aka Farah Gogi as per Ahsan.

as far as i am concerned, if one has a running case on them they should not take any office position of any level. Also i think that if someone is found to been doing false accusation than they should be punished severely
