The missile was allegedly fired from Punjab near it's border with erstwhile NWFP, into Baluchistan,
One can guess the trajectory of the missile as Dadu, where the rocket motor parts fell, lies on the Sindh/ Baluchistan border. !!

I really doubt it, something must have gone haywire and they are trying to cover up. But as long as no one got injured, thats all that matters I guess.

Maybe the destination was somewhere in the sea? That makes more sense.

Anyways, it wasn't the missile we were interested in, but the integrated launch system of ASFC.

This part is especially funny:

“It was ensured that at no point, would human life or property be at risk. There is no cause for alarm or concern,” the spokesman concluded.

Had the parts been a few meters away, it could have landed at someone's house!!!

Oh well, all's well if it ends well!!!

civilians ko lagti to bolte drone attack hue he,conspiracy to blame us

Where would the missile go from Dadu??

If it took off from somewhere near Attock, then it usually goes towards Balochistan's western end. This part landed at Dadu, and even if we account for wind changes after separation, it doesn't add up does it?

No, the target area is eastern Baluchistan. It can't be the missile motor, as it separates after the boost phase which hardly lasts for two minutes.

Or does the missile change course midway through the journey?

No, thats not the case.

Hmm....I always thought these missiles went toward Chagi/Iranian border.

Yeah.

here is another pic ..

dude ISPR report says

In a press release, the ISPR stated that the missile test was conducted on Wednesday, and the metal parts found in the Johi taluka of Dadu dictrict were part of the motor body. The parts were “separated from the missile as planned, well within the safety corridor”.

people in Pakistan are too nosy and cant stop poking their nose..
The parts falling from such height must have been visible from great distances and villagers couldn't stop themselves from poking their nose.

So was the missile test a success or Failure? Check the image, it says flight control computer in one of the parts.. IF a missile is missing its flight control computer will it be able to successfully hit target ? Until there is some redundancy built in

the warhead is released at a certain height and at an angle. That is the last thing the flight control computer does. After that its dumb projectile..
Since this missile is primarily for Nuclear strikes, pin point accuracy isn't needed,as long as the warhead falls in the general area it will do the job.
This is the first generation of Pakistani Ballistic missiles, later generations such as shaheen are more sophisticated...

Nope, the flight can be aborted even to the last minute. The Ghauri isn't THAT primitive.
Pakistan upgraded the Ghauris (Nodongs) with the same navigation equipment used aboard the Shaheen series.

Well from the information I have since long. Ghauri and Shaheen Flight path as available with Indians as well for test impacts is an area in the Gulf of Oman since all ballistic launches are monitored. This piece looks to be the separation plate of the boosters.. since the range is around 1500 km the flight time is around 11 mins and the boost phase can last upto 4 mins ... I think it pretty much gets to the dadu area.. lastly since the ghauri re-enters from above 200 km (as per a PTV documentary some years back) its remaining components if don't burn on re-entry maybe skip distance .. so ... a lot of fluid mechanics involved.. The missile did reach its target.. you dont make missiles that are supposed to carry nukes just drop its load anywhere.. u either time it to reach or self-destruct. no other way

If it was fired in morning why the debris fell at night.
