Exactly, Current state of Myanmar is a disaster for all of the ethnic minorities living in the border provinces.Myanmar with it's current border is a colonial British creation for the benefit of the colonial rulers who incorporated all the non burmese region with colonial Burma for administrative purpose.Independent Arakan state was incorporated with Burma for the first time in 1824 where Rakhain and Rohingya ethnicities lived without much problem.

Same is true with northern Kachin state.Kachin state was always part of Qing China and british illegally drawn McMahon line to incorporated that historical and ethnically Chinese region within British Burma.Now burmese are committing atrocity against the Kachin people and forced many of them to take shelter in China. If you want serious to helping Rohingyas, made mediation between them and Myanmar gov. Give them secular minded education and providing them healthcare. Not giving them weapons and instigating them to attack the government troops. A hit and run guerrilla force doesn't suffer that magnitude of death specially when they are ambushing the burmese troops. A rouge and secretive force like Burmese army surely inflated the Rohingya casualty figure to save their face in front of the country and boost morale of their soldier when they lost 12 army personnel.
