Myanmar receives Thunders !

It is entirely possible that the Chinese manufacture and sell JF-17 to others without involvement of Pakistan, unless there is a contract saying otherwise.
I have never seen anyone on PDF mentioning that such a contract is in place.
Well yes u can't see contract on pdf but Paf its self mentioned this on offical history books 1988 to 1998 and 1999 to 2014

Mig-35 has AESA but the JF-17 Block 2 being supplied to Myanmar does not.

I agree that JF-17 Block 3 can take on Mig-35.

Like I say BAF already rejected Mig-35 as it needs something better. Myanmar is not really seen as a real threat to BD.

I wouldn't call it a threat too its not like Myanmar and BD is going to WAR next week .

You prepare for capabilities and Myanmar has a tiny economy that cannot support a military than can ever threaten BD.
India is a threat just due to their massive size.

TBH i don't know what Issues are there between MY and BD . but JF fits their Air force requirements and its cheaper to operate , easy spare parts .

Congratulations for this export. JF-17 is a success story, never mind what detractors say. I have watched this project go from an idea in 1993 to a success that it is now.

It is a great multirole jet with a very quick turn-around time for generating multiple sorties; and it can carry a variety of munitions for various purposes. It is not a strike aircraft and therefore geared more towards defense than offense. Deploying JF-17 is not a signal of aggressive intent. It just means that the operator takes defense seriously. If an airforce has ambitious growth plan, JF-17 is a perfect fit.

JF-17 is not a major threat to Bangladesh. BAF could afford something different with perhaps a bigger payload. By deploying JF-17, Myanmar has forced Bangladesh to step up their modernization with something more expensive. Once that happens, Myanmar can work on an antidote. Point is that the Myanmar has seized the initiative and Bangladesh would feel compelled to react.

This is actually rather good for BD as it drains precious Myanmar wealth for a fighter that can easily be countered by something more advanced
Remember that BAF already rejected the superior Mig-35 as it does not meet the minimum performance criteria that BAF has set.
BD is in no hurry to react as Myanmar is not seen as anything more than an irritant - aware that Myanmar has a better airforce as of now but even a single squadron(16) of 4+ gen fighter procurement by BAF would totally make the 2 airforces equivalent.

PAF themselves received 8(2+6) FC-1 at start from China, MAF is going same way. Its all linked to Belt and road initiative, they may also get a production like PAC. Full aircraft was build by CAC just like FC-1B.
Myanmar is negotiating to licence build the JF-17 with Pakistan (the OEM along with China). Same way India licence builds Su-30's from Russia.

Sorry but it looks like you'll have to go to the bathtub and slit your wrists now.
But maybe you can come to terms with the fact Pakistan can build and export fighter jets just like you did with China eventually.

Good question!
Sorry guys, but I dont like the timing of this. I am worried China kind of used Myanmar as a proxy to genocide muslims. Some people here said Myanmar is in the middle of a regional struggle for it.buuut..with the rohyinga issue,I dont like this. China should do something that shows us it believes in human dignity.China has helped and supported more, groups that have attacked Rohingyas.

By Rohingya do you mean illegal Bangladeshis? Which even Bangladesh doesn't want, to the point where they even shut their border with Myanmar? And denied the Rohingya even basic refugee status?

Bangladesh could save the Rohingya tomorrow by giving them citizenship, but they will never do that. US or China or Russia could stop Myanmar any time they wanted. But the truth is that no one really cares about them, it's not as if Myanmar is a superpower that cannot be stopped, it's that no one in the world cares enough to stop them.

Such as a super duper F-7BGIABCDEFG with glass cockpit, canopy, fuselage and engine perhaps?

In the end, you will again settle for more F-7s.

What words of wisdom from a TTA!
Let us wait till after the election in 2019 to see how the future of BAF will look like.

How did you confirm all Rohingya are Bangladeshis? Even if they are, they are human beings just like you and me. What does their ethic or religious affiliation have to do with how they are treated by their govt?Bangladesh did take in many Rohingas. How many did China take in?
You are supporting Myanmar genocidal action by putting all the solutions and actions on Bangladesh, but that doesnt change the bad the Myanmar govt has done to Rohingya. YOu are so biased bro.

Like I said, Bangladesh could save them all tomorrow if they wanted, but instead they closed the border and denied them basic refugee status. Then they started kissing Myanmar's @ss by pleading for "good relations" at any cost, and even trying to throw them back to Myanmar as soon as they can.

The truth is nobody cares. Myanmar is not exactly a superpower that no one could have stopped them, they just didn't care enough to do it.

If you care, you are welcome to host a Rohingya refugee in your own house.

Meanwhile, hopefully Myanmar orders some more potent weapon platforms so they can protect themselves against more Bangladeshi backstabbing. And maybe Suu Kyi will finally realize that being an American puppet is more trouble than it is worth, they could turn into another Bangladesh.

If that gives you some comfort so believe what you like.

JF17 is made in China, not Pakistan. The way some people say that Pakistan is exporting JF-17 makes one wonder if Pakistan really makes fighter jets. But on deeper research, it is clear that China is capable of making entire JF17 without Pakistani help!

Well 1960 technology is flying and selling, where is 1983's technology reached so far?

Making metallic airframe is 1960s technology. Pakistan calling this as Pakistani export is really an exaggeration. It will be considered Pakistani only if at least some important component is made in Pakistan

The only thing they have produced so far for Tejas are delivery dates, and a lot of them.

What Important you produce for Tejas, Kaveri, Utam etc etc

It's a joint venture, hence all manufacturing and sales are shared regardless of who the font man is for sales.

Previous news said the JF-17s were sold by China...
In which ways are Pakistan involved?

There was no Rohingya issue at the time of contract signing.

Pakistan not disclosing officially has more to do with respecting the sentiments of its citizens regarding the Rohingya massacres than anything else. the fact you belligerently refuse to concede your flowed argument despite systematic dismantling of your bogus assertions show that you are politically motivated. You lost the debate. Move on and get hold of yourself.

No offence to anyone but myanmar is a crazy country and nigeria is unstable.
Rohingya or no rohingya everyone is forgetting the fact that myanmar violated china's airspace and bombed a village.Don't get me wrong I am happy at the success of thunders but at the same time also concerned.

I think the best outcome for China and Pakistan would be to proliferate JF-17/FC-1 fighters on the market to earn money for its aerospace industry and develop better products in the future. Pulling out of these deals would not benefit China or Pakistan in the long run.

Myanmar already has Mig-29s and had ordered SU-30s from Russia. Though it does fill a niche segment, there are alternatives in the market if they cannot get JF-17/FC-1. It is not like Myanmar would be incapable of bombing a village without the JF-17/FC-1, thus selling or not selling will not make a difference. Yes, Myanmar's airforce capabilities would increase but would it be sufficient to challenge China or Pakistan? I would say no.

If China and Pakistan doesn't make money on these deals, competitors would only get better through sales of their products, eroding the edge of China and Pakistan. Keeping an edge cannot be done through being static, one needs a well funded industry to produce more effective products, exports funds these developments. All nations with J-7 fighters are good potential customers.

All in all I am not concerned at all. If Nigeria is unstable, it might created a big market for JF-17/FC-1. Not sure exactly what is meant by "unstable", would boko haram fly these jets against others or would Nigeria start a military campaign against other nations? Either way it doesn't pose a threat to China or Pakistan.
