Members of Border Guard Bangladesh detained a man in Myanmar army dress from Lemochhari area of Naikkhongchhari under Bandarban hill district on Thursday morning.
Arrested was identified as Aung Bou Thin of battalion 287 of Myanmar army from Yangon.
Colonel SM Bayzid Khan, sector commander of BGB Cox’s Bazar, told New Age, ‘The Myanmar soldier was moving inside Lemochhari on Thursday morning. BGB team of Bhallokkhia border outpost arrested him.’
Aung Bou was a regular army of battalion 287 of Myanmar army posted at Bandola, opposite to Naikkhongchhari upazila.
He left Myanmar army and crossed the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in search of a job at Bandola area,’ he added.
